| Objective: To investigate the levels of serum leptin, bile leptin, blood lipid, lipoprotein, the levels of some apolipoproteins, lipoprotein A / apolipoprotein B,and the potential association between them to explore the function and impact of leptin in the formation of gallstones. Methods: Patients were divided into two groups: gallbladder cholesterol gallstone group(group A)and non-gallstone group(group B).Fasting blood samples from all study participants were assayed for total bile acid, total cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein, high density lipoprotein,apolipoproteinA-I,apolipoprotein B,lipoprotein(a).Serum leptin and bile leptin were measured using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results: A total of 58 patients with gallbladder cholesterol gallstone and 33 controls were included in the study. The serum level of leptin, total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein, apolipoprotein B and triglyceride were significantly increased, high density lipoprotein and apolipoprotein AI significantly decreased(P<0.05),in patients with gallbladder cholesterol gallstone compared with controls. While bile leptin, total Bile acid, lipoprotein(a)were no significant difference between group A and group B(P> 0.05).Serum leptin in patients with gallbladder cholesterol gallstone were significantly positively correlated with BMI.Conclusion: 1 Serum leptin may be play a key role in cholesterol gallstone formation.Increased serum leptin may increase the leptin in bile, and then directly promote the formation of cholesterol stones.2 The level of bile leptin in patients with gallstone cholesterol and the level of serum leptin were significantly increased, and the serum leptin content was correlated with BMI.3 The level of total cholesterol, triglycerides, low density lipoprotein, high density lipoprotein,Apolipoprotein-AI,Apolipoprotein-B were changed in patients with cholesterol gallstone. |
