Clinical Evaluation Of Shugan Jianpi Aashen Fang In Treating Depression Due To Liver Depression And Spleen Deficiency

Objective: By observing the changes of the clinical symptoms,HAMD scale scores and TCM syndrome scores,the clinical effect and safety of Shugan Jianpi Aashen Fang in the treatment of depression patients(liver depression and spleen deficiency type)were analyzd and discussed.This study can provide a scientific basis for clinical application and in-depth study.Methods: This study selected 84 depression patients(liver depression and spleen deficiency type)who met the criteria.The patients all came from the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of TCM from March 2017 to March 2018.The random digital table method was used to divide 84 patients into 2 groups: the treatment group and the control group,42 cases in each group.The control group employed basic treatment,treatment group employed basic treatment plus Shugan Jianpi Aashen fang,the course of treatment was 6 weeks.HAMD scale scores and TCM syndrome scores were scored before and after 6 weeks of treatment to evaluate the clinical efficacy after two different therapies.At the same time,we should also record the adverse reactions during the treatment to evaluate drug safety.Results:1.There were no significant difference in terms of sex,age,degree of disease and educational level(P > 0.05),they have comparability;2.There was no significant difference in the HAMD scale scores in both groups before treatment(P >0.05),they have comparability;the HAMD scale scores after the treatment was declined in the comparison with the scores which comed from the treatment in both groups before(P < 0.05);the treatment group was declined more than the control group(P < 0.05);the effective rate of the treatment group was 70.73%,the control group was 47.37%,the effective rate of the two groups was compared between groups,the difference has statistical significance(P < 0.05);3.There was no significant difference in the TCM syndrome scores in both groups before treatment(P >0.05),they have comparability;the TCM syndrome scores after the treatment was declined in the comparison with the scores which comed from the treatment in both groups before(P < 0.05);the treatment group was declined more than the control group(P < 0.05);the effective rate of the treatment group was 80.49%,the control group was 57.89%,the effective rate of the two groups was compared between groups,the difference has statistical significance(P < 0.05);4.In the process of the study,the safety indexes of the three frequent exams,electrocardiogram,liver and kidney function of the two groups had not been significantly changed,and there were no serious adverse reactions.However,in the control group,2 patients had mild dizziness symptom,1 patient had headache,1 patient found night sweating symptom,1 patient found dry mouth symptom.Conclusion:1.Shugan Jianpi Aashen Fang can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms of patients with depression(liver depression and spleen deficiency type);2.Shugan Jianpi Aashen Fang can effectively reduce the HAMD scale scores of patients with depression(liver depression and spleen deficiency type);3.Shugan Jianpi Aashen Fang can effectively reduce TCM syndrome scores of patients with depression(liver depression and spleen deficiency type);4.Shugan Jianpi Aashen Fang has better clinical effects,less adverse reactions,higher safety in the treatment of depression(liver depression and spleen deficiency type),which is worth to be spread in the clinic.
