| Object:To detect the expression of Bmi-1 protein in laterally spreading tumor(LST),and to investigate the expression of Bmi-1 in LST and its clinical significance.Methods:A total of 30 LST,30 protruded-type colorectal adenoma(PA)30 colorectal cancer(CRC)and in cancer adjacent normal tissues were collected from June 2015 to July 2017 in endoscopic center of Chenzhou NO.1People’s Hospital,LST were divided into 3 subtypes as non-granular type(LST-NG),granular mixed type(LST-GM)and granular homogeneous type(LST-GH).Clinical histopathological characteristics including age,gender,lesion size and location the degree of intraepithelial neoplasia,and histological types of each group were investigated.The expression of Bmi-a in each tissue were examined by immunohistochemistry,The results was used χ2 test to analys.Results:1.The expression rates of Bmi-1 in laterally spreading tumor,protruded-type colorectal adenoma,colorectal cancer and normal colorectal mucosa were 73.3%(22/30),20%(6/30)and 93.3% 28/30),16.7%(3/30),the difference was statistically significant(P <0.001)2.The expression of Bmi-1 in laterally spreading tumor and protruded-type colorectal adenoma was significantly different(P <0.001).The expression of Bmi-1 in LST-GM was stronger than PA,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001),the expression of LST-NG was also significantly higher than that of PA group,with significant difference(P= 0.005),and there was no significant difference between LST-GH group and PA group(P =0.104)3.Bmi-1 expression in laterally spreading tumor and normal mucosa were significantly different(P<0.001)4.The expression of Bmi-1 in laterally spreading tumor and colorectal cancer was significantly different(P = 0.001)Conclusion :1.In terms of lesion diameter,LST group was significantly larger than that in PA group,it was mainly located in rectum and the most of LST are Hausto-tubular crypt,low-grade of intraepithelial neoplasia was the most commom histological types.2.Bmi-1 was highly expressed in LST and CRC groups,but there were still significant differences.3.The expression of Bmi-1 was higher than PA group(P<0.01),it may play an important role in malignant transformation. |
