Evaluation Of Chronic Disease Management In TCM Hospitals Based On PACIC Scale

Background: chronic disease has become a major threat to the health of the people living standards and quality of public health problems,the situation has been beyond the prevention of infectious diseases.However,at present,the health human resources of the grass-roots community clinics are insufficient,the public health resources are not balanced,the medical equipment is very limited,and the experience of providing health services to patients is poor.The majority of patients with chronic diseases continue to be visited primarily by large public hospitals.Professional hospitals provide first-class medical team,complete diagnostic process,sound documentation and follow-up,can be designed from the psychological,physiological aspects of specific programs to improve the survival environment of patients with chronic diseases.Objective: at present,there are very few researches on the evaluation system of chronic illness management service quality in China.This study will demonstrate the feasibility and applicability of international PACIC scale in the evaluation of service quality by means of questionnaire survey and other methods.It is innovative to evaluate and discuss the problems in the management of chronic diseases in TCM hospitals from the perspective of patients.PACIC scale will be used to enrich the research system of hospital service quality management.Methods: taking the outpatient clinic of Guangdong Provincial traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital as an example,a questionnaire survey was conducted on 533 patients with chronic disease in 13 chronic diseases specialists in Guangdong traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital to evaluate the managementof chronic disease from the perspective of PACIC patients.Results: the score of chronic disease management in TCM hospital was 4.14,and the scores of each item was more than 2 points.Conclusion: the management effect of chronic disease is basically satisfactory.However,hospitals have done well in providing written health education materials and explaining the relationship between health-related behaviors and disease control effects.The score of goal setting was poor in asking patients about their health care goals,asking about their living habits,and helping to set their diet and exercise.Suggestions: to further strengthen the management of hospital chronic disease service;to focus on the interests of patients;to vigorously promote the international chronic disease service scale in China;to encourage the combination of chronic disease management and Chinese medicine;to promote the slow disease treatment technology and management progress.
