ObjectiveThrough a cross-sectional?prospective and observational study,we explore the correlation of the serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 level and kidney deficiency syndrome of traditional Chinese medicine?By comparing vitamin D3 and circulating tumor cells(CTC)levels between patients with kidney deficiency type and those without the deficiency,we want to confirm whether the kidney deficiency of TCM symptoms is a harmful prognostic factor for colorectal cancer, providing reference basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment for colorectal cancer combining TCM and western medicine.MethodsFollowing to the Inclusion and exclusion criteria,we recorded the general information of patients, tested the patient's level of serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D3,and collected diagnostic data of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in patients, and we made the questionnaire based on standards about kidney Yang deficiency and kidney Yin deficiency from?traditional Chinese medicine new medicine clinical research guiding principles?to confirm whether the patient got symptoms of the kidney deficiency or not.For patients with kidney deficiency symptoms,we made the scale according to the "kidney deficiency syndrome factor evaluation operation standard",which was published YanShiLin etc,to evaluated the integration of kidney deficiency. We discussed in age, sex, collection, primary focal position on the influence of vitamin D3 level and kidney deficiency symptoms, and by using two independent sample t-test,Pearson correlation analysis to explore the correlation of vitamin D3 level and kidney deficiency symptoms.ResultsIn this study,we collected 84 patients with colorectal cancer with stage?-? from December 2017 to April 2018 in TCM hospital of Guangdong province,46 cases of men(54.8%)and 38 cases of women(45.2%),male to female ratio is 1.21:1,the oldest person was 79 years old,the youngest was 34 years old,and the average age was 58.The longest duration of the disease was 35 months, the shortest was 3 months, and the mean duration was about 12.51 months. There were 32 cases of kidney deficiency type and 52 cases without those symptoms, and the ratio was 1:1.69.The average age of patients with colorectal cancer was higher than that of patients without those symptoms, but there was no statistical significance between them(P>0.05).For the course of disease, the average course of the patients with kidney deficiency was longer than that of the non-kidney-deficiency group, and the comparison between them(0.05>P>0.01)was statistically significant, and the patients with kidney deficiency were longer than those with no kidney deficiency. There was no statistical significance(P>0.10)for the difference of kidney deficiency in different genders. No statistical significance(P>0.25)was found in patients with colorectal cancer with different primary foci. There was significant difference in vitamin D levels between different genders(P<0.05),female paitents had lower vitamin D levels than male patients.Between December 2017 and February 2018,blood samples of patients were collected for vitamin D3 levels, with no significant difference between different months(P>0.05).There was no statistical significance in the difference of vitamin D3 level in patients with left and right colorectal cancer(P>0.05).The difference of vitamin D3 level in patients with kidney deficiency group(0.05>P>0.01)was statistically significant, and the level of vitamin D3 was lower in patients with kidney deficiency than the non-kidney-deficiency group,.There was no significant correlation between kidney deficiency and age and course of disease(P>0.05).There was a significant correlation between the deficiency of kidney and the course of disease(r=-0.475,P=0.006).Conclusion1.In this group of 84 patients with colorectal cancer in ?-? period, kidney deficiency type is closely related to the level of serum vitamin D3,the lower the level of serum vitamin D3,the higher the probability of occurrence of kidney deficiency, and in patients with kidney deficiency type, the lower the level of vitamin D3,the the higher the integral about kidney empty, there was a close correlation between the level of vitamin D3 and the kidney deficiency.2.In patients with colorectal cancer, their age, gender, primary focal position has no obvious correlation with kidney deficiency type and,and the length of the course of the disease had obvious correlation with kidney deficiency type.3.Female paitents had lower vitamin D levels than male patients, but there was no significant correlation between serum vitamin D3 level and collecting month, primary lesion location.4.This research adopts the kidney empty integral survey suggested in patients with kidney deficiency type, kidney empty points with no obvious correlation, including age, course of the disease in patients with age or the longer the duration, the higher the kidney empty points is not necessarily. The results of this study provide objective evidence for vitamin D as one of the basic material bases for the syndrome of kidney deficiency in traditional Chinese medicine, and provide a certain clinical basis for the diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer in Chinese and western medicine.
