Nowadays,many people have different mental illness,but few of them seeking help from psychiatric treatment.Some effective ways have been put forward to to facilitate attitudes towards seeking psychiatric treatment and make more people getting effective treatment.The two most common invention are education and contact.Some researcher thought contact is have advantage over education.A few studies focused on the effect of education invention,but few research paid attention to contact at home.This research select economical video-based contact to explore how video-based contact influence on attitudes towards seeking psychiatric treatment,and whether perceived social accept of help-seeking and the core dimension of the conception of mental illness are mediated variable between them by pretest and post-test design.The results are the followings:1.Compared to control group,video-based contact can significantly facilitate attitudes towards seeking psychiatric treatment,increase terrible cognitive evaluation and understanding of the causes of depression of experiment group.2.Attitude towards seeking psychiatric treatment can be significantly predicted perceived social accept of help-seeking,behavior predictability and the understanding of the causes,respectively.If one perceived high social accept,he will more inclined to pursuing help.If one thought someone with depression is more unpredictable and the causes of depression are more understandable,he will more tend to seeking help.3.Perceived social accept of help-seeking is not mediating variable between contact and attitude towards seeking psychiatric treatment.Understanding of the causes of depression are mediating variable between them.That is,contact not only directly affects the help attitude,but also have effect on help attitude from it.
