| ObjectiveBronchial asthma(BA)is the most common chronic respiratory allergic disease in childhood.Its incidence in infants and young children is increasing year by year.How to prevent and cure it in early stage is a difficult problem that puzzles the clinic.In order to explore the pharmacological mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine in preventing and treating asthma in children,the effect of early intervention by the representative prescription of strengthening spleen and nourishing Qi-Yigong powder on allergic inflammation in the lung of bronchial asthmatic model in mice was studied in this subject.Methods60 female BALB/c mice aged 7 days were randomly divided into normal group,model group,probiotics group(Chang Lekang)and Yigong powder high,middle and low dose groups.After ovalbumin sensitized asthma mice models were successfully prepared,the indicators for each of these groups will be observed,including the general behavior,the pathological changes of lung pathology with HE staining,and the change of interleukin 10(IL-10),transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)and interleukin 17(IL-17)in bronchial alveolar lavage fluid(BALF)determined by enzyme linked immunoassay(Elisa).ResultsSimilar to probiotics,the inflammatory cell infiltration,tissue damage,edema and exfoliated epithelial cell degree of Yigong powder high,middle and low dose groups were reduced in turn in comparison with the model group,and the Underwood scores were significantly lower than those in the model group(P < 0.01,P < 0.05).IL-10 content in BALF of probiotics group and Yigong powder high,middle and low dose groups were significantly higher than those of model group(P < 0.01,P < 0.05);TGF-β1 content in BALF of probiotics group andYigong powder high,middle and low dose groups were higher than the model group,the probiotics group and Yi Gong powder high and low dose groups had significant difference(P < 0.01,P < 0.05);IL-17 content in BALF of probiotics group and Yigong powder high,middle and low dose groups were lower than the model group,but there was no statistical difference(P< 0.05).ConclusionThis study demonstrates that early intervention of Yigong power ameliorates pulmonary inflammatory response in asthmatic model mice,and affects the content of cytokines such as IL-10 in BALF,suggesting that Yigong Powder can effectively prevent and treat allergic inflammation in asthma,and from a novel perspective,it reveals the rationality of the "pulmonary-splenic related" theory and the " strengthening earth to generate metal " treatment method in Chinese medicine. |
