The Influence Of Invigorating Kidney And Strengthening Spleen On The Treatment Of Moderate And Severe Cancer Pain

Objective:To discussing the effect of Traditional Chinese medicine for the patients who were in moderate to severe cancer pain,an experiment was designed by using the combination of Oxycontin and TCM with the principle of Invigorating the kidney and strengthening the spleen.Methods:63 Patients,who come from Dongguan city hospital in July 2016 to December2017 inpatient and outpatient department diagnosed Chinese medicine dialectical to spleen and kidney deficiency type,were divided into two groups,which has 31 cases in the control group and 32 in the treatment group according to the principle randomly.The control group alleviated or cured the cancer Pain with the principle of three steps.Besides,The Patient in the treatment group were asked to take Traditional Chinese Medicine with the principle of invigorating the kidney and the spleen.The method was to boil400 ml into 200 ml,which the patient took in the morning and the evening,with1 course of treatment in 2 weeks.It continued 4 weeks,a total of 3 courses according to the clinical dialectical addition and subtraction.Two groups of patients were asked to check basic medical examination such as blood routine,liver's and kidney's function.The rest were Pain intensity grading,quality of life score before and after treatment,Oxycontin average daily dosage,incidence of adverse reactions in the Process of treatment,etc.This observation time lasted 3 Period of treatment.Finally,statistical analysis was performed.Results:1.Analgesic effect:after completion of each session,there were not enough evidence that the two groups had difference significantly(P>0.05)with each other in pain intensity(NRS)score and the difference of the NRS scores evaluated before and after treatment to the two groups.Before and after intervention,there was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group in NRS score(P>0.05).It suggested that the two groups had the same pain relief effect.But the pain total effective to the two group was more than 80%,with the progress of the time,further improve the analgesic effects,prompt to moderately severe pain control.Oxycontin had both stable and remarkable curative effect.2.Score comparison of living quality: after the end of each treatment,the life quality score(KPS)of two groups has no significant statistical difference(P<0.05).Furthermore,as the time went by,the treatment group,which the improvement of the quality of life in patients,was more significant than the control group;And,two groups had significantly difference(P<0.05)in KPS before and after treatment.Besides,the KPS of treatment group was higher than that of control group.It was believed that the two groups had significant difference(p<0.05)in KPS score difference before and after treatment in the case of effective control to cancer pain.The improvement of quality to the life for the treatment group was considered to be resulted in the traditional Chinese medicine comply with the principle nvigorating the kidney and strengthening the spleen helping to reduce the adverse reactions taken by Oxycontin.3.Incidence of adverse reactions:with the method of the Mann-whitney U test,treatment group had no significant difference(P>0.05)after the first period or the second period respectively on adverse reactions but obvious(P<0.05)after the third period compared with the control group.In addition,at the end of the second course to the treatment,compared with treatment 1,the treatment group had significant difference(P<0.05)on the constituent ratios of adverse reactions but the control group had not(P>0.05).Compared with the first course of treatment,there was a significant difference between the treatment group and the control group at the end of the third course of treatment(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group,suggesting that invigorating the spleen and invigorating the spleen could reduce or alleviate the adverse reactions caused by Oxycontin,and it was positively correlated with the time.4.An analysis of the average daily dose combined with analgesia:on the one hand,after the total treatment course,no statistical significance appeared obviously between the two groups(P>0.05)on the average daily usage of Oxycontin.On the other hand,two groups on the analgesic time was statistically significant(P<0.05).It suggested that the traditional Chinese medicine complied with the principle nvigorating the kidney and strengthening the spleen can help to prolong painkiller Oxycontin acting time for relieving pain in the case of maintaining the same pain relief effect between the two groups.Conclusion:While the clinical efficacy to achieve the same Pain relief effect,taking traditional Chinese medicine according to the principle nvigorating the kidney and the spleen combined with Oxycontin helps to reduce the incidence of the adverse reactions.The reason is that it extended the duration of the pain medication to a certain extent,improved the quality of life.In a word,it reach the target reducing toxicity and increasing efficiency.
