| ObjectiveAs the patients with the syndrome of yin deficiency and liver depression in the period of antithyroid drug reduction,nourish yin,relief liver from smooth Qi and eliminate stasis as the therapy,to observe the effect of Shuganxiaojia Decoction on the thyroid function for the preparation of the future clinical application.MethodsEighty patients who correspond to the test conditions were divided into2 groups.The therapy of the treatment group was Shuganxiaojia Decoction and the methimazole(MMI),at the same time,the therapy of the control group was MMI only.Both groups had to be observed and analysed after 4-weeks treatment.For the comprehensive assessment of the effect of Shuganxiaojia Decoction on the patients with hyperthyroidism,the signs of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),the thyroid hormone and the efficiency will be compared before and after the treatment.Results1 The comparison of the symptom score of TCM:Both of the treatment group and the control group reduced the total score of TCM syndromes effectively(P<0.05),while more scores were reduced by the treatment group than the control group(P<0.05).The treatment group improved 6 TCM syndromes,including irritability,insomnia,dry mouth,sweating,fearing of heat and panic.At the same time,the control group only improves 5 TCM syndromes,including irritability,insomnia,dry mouth,sweating and fearing of heat(P<0.05),while was unconspicuous in the syndrome of panic(P > 0.05).Compare the difference between the two groups before and after treatment,betterperformance were done by the treatment group than the control group in the TCM syndromes of irritability,insomnia and dry mouth(P<0.05),while there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in the syndromes of sweating and fearing of heat(P>0.05).The total effective rate of the two groups was 92.5% and 75% respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2 The comparison of thyroid hormone: No matter the treatment group or the control group,the TSH level of patients was restored to normal significantly(P < 0.05),and the distinction between the 2 groups was considered not exist in the statisticst(P<0.05).Neither group reduced the levels of FT3 and FT4 significantly(P>0.05),and the distinction between the2 groups is statistically meaningless(P<0.05).3 The comparison of clinical efficacy: In the respect of the comparison of TCM syndromes,there was significant difference in the ranked distribution of the TCM syndromes between 2 groups after treatment(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment group and control group was 92.5% and75% respectively,and the total effective rate of treatment group was higher than that of control group,and the difference was considered exist in the statistics(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the treatment group significantly reduced the risk of redevelopment to hyperthyroidism(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in promoting the rehabilitation of the patients(P>0.05).4 The comparison of drug safety: During the observation period,common adverse reactions,such as rash or whole-body itchy,were not found in the treatment group or the control group.No obvious abnormalities were observed in the laboratory results before or after the treatment.Therefore,two groups of drugs were considered to be safe.ConclusionAs the patients with the syndrome of yin deficiency and liver depression in the period of antithyroid drug reduction,a clinical observation was made on the treatment of the patients with Shuganxiaojia Decoction and MMI and MMI only.A conclusion was draw that compared with the group used MMI only,the group combined Shuganxiaojia Decoction and MMI can obviously relieve the clinical symptoms,improve TSH level,reduce the risk of developing hyperthyroidism during antithyroid medications,and the drug safety is good,no obvious side effects. |
