Clinical Study On Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy Based On“Tonifying After Dredging Stasis”Theory

Purpose: To observe the clinical effect on treating anterior ischemic optic neuropathy(AION)based on “Tonifying after Dredging Stasis” Theory.Method: Fouty-eight cases(48eyes)of AION patients were divided into two groups that is treatment group(24 eyes),control group(24 eyes)。The treatment group according to the "Tonifying after Dredging Stasis Theory" will enlighten and benefit into treatment period。Enlighten be Xuefu Zhuyu Tang and Wuling powder oral prescription opened stasis stagnation for 15 days,tonic period be Buyang huanwu Decoction Fuzheng Quxie for 30 days,and combined with injectioning compound anisodine(CA)beside superficial temporal artery。 Control group was treated by Xuefu Zhuyu Tang and Wuling powder oral prescription opened stasis stagnation for 45 days,and combined with injectioning compound anisodine(CA)beside superficial temporal artery。Two groups of patients in severe optic disc edema stage,can be given methylprednisolone acetate injection 20 mg,once a day,parabulbar injection for 3 consecutive days。If the patient had hypertension,diabetes and other basic diseases,we would give symptomatic treatment。Finally,the best corrected visual acuity,visual field and clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared。Result: There was no significant difference in age,sex composition and visual acuity distribution before the treatment in the treatment group and the control group(p >0.05)。The effective rate was 95.8 % in the treatment group,79.2 % in the control group after the treatment。There was remarkable statistical significance(p <0.05)。Compared with before treatment,there was significant difference in visual acuity between the two groups after treatment(p <0.05)。After treatment,the average visual field damage of the treatment group and the control group was significantly reduced compared with that before treatment。The visual acuity and visual field after treatment between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05)。Conclusion: The treatment of anterior ischemic optic neuropathy based on “Tonifying after Dredging Stasis” Theory could significantly improve the vision and visual field of patients,and improve the quality of life of patients.
