Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of Huatan,Quyu and Tiaoying combined with ATD on treating hyperthyrea patients,so as to provide new directions in TCM to treat hyperthyrea with Huatan,Quyu and Tiaoying.Methods: 60 hyperthyrea patients who were treated in the Endocrinology Department,the Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were included in the trial and were randomized into the treatment and control group,with 30 cases in each group.Patients in the control group was given methimazole imidazole tablets,and patients in the treatment group was given methimazole imidazole tablets combined with Huatan,Quyu and Tiaoying regimen(a traditional prescription in our hospital's pharmacy).During the experiment,patients' records were completed recorded according to the plan.After 3 months,patients' symptoms,signs,and indicators between the two groups were compared.Results: After observation for 3 months,there were significant differences in TCM scores and relative laboratory indicators in both groups before and after treatment(P<0.05).Moreover,the improvements in TCM scores and thyroid hormone levels in the treatment group were significantly better than those of control group(P<0.05).No abnormalities were observed in safety indicators.During this clinical trial,the overall treatment rate were 90% and 76.67% in the treatment group and control group,respectively.It is concluded that the Huatan,Quyu and Tiaoying regimen has a better efficacy in treating hyperthyrea.Conclusions: Huatan,Quyu and Tiaoying regimen has a better efficacy in treating hyperthyrea,which could significantly decrease TCM scores,improve thyroid hormone levels without any adverse activities.Our study provides new directions in TCM to treat hyperthyrea with Huatan,Quyu and Tiaoying,which emphasizes the theory of Dusun Yinluo in TCM treatment. |
