Objective:To investigate the relationship between the expression of mitogen-activated protein kinases(MAPK)in patients with triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)and their clinicopathological features and prognosis. Methods:Three hundred and sixteen negative breast cancer specimens of hospitalized patients from the Third Clinical Medical College of Xinjiang Medical University from 2011 to 2014 were selected. The expression of MAPK protein in the specimens was detected by SP immunohistochemistry and the age, menopausal status, and tumors were collected.Clinicopathological data such as family history, pathological type and grade, tumor size, lymph node metastasis, clinical stage, recurrence and metastasis, and survival status were analyzed retrospectively using the Chi-square test,Kaplan-Meier method, survival curve, and log-rank test to analyze the expression of MAPK.The relationship between the level and clinical pathological features and prognosis of triple negative breast cancer patients.Results:(1)The positive expression rate of MAPK protein in breast cancer tissues in Xinjiang was 42.6%.The positive rate of MAPK in triple negative breast cancer tissues was higher than that in adjacent tissues(,2 =33.33,P<0.01).(2)The expression of MAPK in triple negative breast cancer tissues was related to tumor size and lymph node metastasis, and there was no significant correlation with clinicopathological features such as age, menopausal status, tumor family history, pathological type and grade, and pathological stage(P).(3)The expression of MAPK protein in triple-negative breast cancer tissues was related to the recurrence and metastasis. The positive rate of MAPK expression in the recurrence and metastasis group was higher than that in the non-recurrence and metastasis group(P<0.01);(4)In the survival rate, the survival curve of MAPK positive expression group in patients with triple negative breast cancer was lower than that in the negative expression group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:MAPK protein may be involved in the occurrence, development, recurrence and metastasis of triple-negative breast cancer, and may be one of the biological indicators of poor prognosis of triple-negative breast cancer.
