Objective The aim of this in vitro study was to compare the bond strength and the influence of enamel surface of two orthodontics bracket adhesive.Material and Method Collecting 40 extracted maxillary first premolar teeth, they were randomly divided into 2 groups,A:Group of light curing resin adhesive,B:Group of linght curing resin-modified glass-ionomer cement.Shear bond strength(SBS)test was performed 'by universal tester, and the adhesive remnant index(ARI)was determined by using an optical microscope after debonding. The test date were compared statistically using SPSS 22.0.Results Student's t test showed that group A(12.302.55MPa)has the higher SBS than group B(9.131.18MPa),differences are statistically significant(P<0.05);Mann-Whitney U test showed there was a statistical difference between the ARI of the two groups of adhesives(P<0.05),group A is higher than group B.Conclusion Light curing resin adhesive with higher bond strength is recommended for the brackets that are easily disturbed by stronger external force. And for convenience, linght curing resin-modified glass-ionomer cement is fit for brackets that are putted on the relatively safe teeth position.
