| Objective: Periodontal disease is a progressive disease of periodontal tissue caused by a variety of pathogenic factors,which can occur at all ages.Loose teeth caused by periodontal disease and defect of dentition have caused great disturbance to patients’ physical and mental health and quality of life.The repair and treatment of periodontal disease is one of the methods of comprehensive treatment,and the fixed partial denture splint is an important method in the treatment.In this paper,the clinical efficacy of periodontitis patients with periodontitis patients with periodontitis is discussed in the form of case report,which provides clinical evidence for its wide clinical application.Methods: The periodontitis patients who were admitted to the prosthodontics department of Dalian Stomatological Hospital with a system of periodontal treatment after fixed partial denture splint treating with or without dentition defect cases in 5 cases.The patient data were collected,the diagnosis and treatment and maintenance procedures were recorded in detail,and the clinical efficacy was evaluated and followed up.The fixed partial denture splint fix process: first of all know patients complained of,patients are now history,history,history of drug allergy,dental treatment system history and family history,both the outlets and mouths and related auxiliary examination,treatment for patients with oral cavity design,give patients their mouths,the advantages and disadvantages of each treatment,treatment process,time,cost,long-term prognosis and related complications,fully communication with patients,the common choose the most suitable solution;Treatment plan including periodontal treatment system,necessary dental pulp treatment,use of lingual resin fibre or early on tooth preparation produced temporary periodontal splint to restore some function and aesthetics,observe whether periodontal status is stable,temporary repair effect is effective,the patients themselves dental plaque control ability,for temporary repair effect is good for permanent repair,including fine tooth preparation,obtain the clear and accurate impression,basal crowns try,restoration eventually put into;The reexamination and rehabilitation of the maintenance period,including periodontal treatment,eliminating the occlusal trauma,and strict and adequate medical advice after repair.Results: Periodontal disease patients by fixed partial denture periodontal splint,eliminates the occlusal trauma,through regular review the retreatment and tracking return visit,patients are satisfied to repair masticatory function,comfort and beautiful pronunciation.The oral maintenance consciousness of patients is enhanced.Periodontal inflammation under control,periodontal membrane clearance without further broadening and alveolar bone bony plates without further damage,the density of alveolar bone height,with a small and stable increase,loose degree improves,periodontal patients’ teeth to prolong service life,at the same time due to the improve masticatory function,health status and mental state are obviously improved.Conclusion: For patients with dentition defect with periodontal disease,through a multidisciplinary joint treatment of periodontitis and endodontics,then using periodontal splints to fix loose teeth,can improve the tooth mobility and promote healing of periodontal tissue,prevention of periodontal disease relapse,at the same time it can be appropriately reduced by adjusting occlusion,restore chewing function,prolong the life time of the risk of tooth,guarantees the quality of life for patients.To ensure the long-term clinical effect of fixed partial denture of periodontal splints,periodontal health maintenance,attention should be paid to the selection of indications,the restoration of the reasonable design and making,occlusion adjustment and to review the retreatment of periodontal,restoration,etc.It is necessary for the fixed partial denture periodontal splint to obtain long-term stable clinical repair effect with doctors and patients work together. |
