Objective:Objective to investigate the expression of IL-17 and Bcl-2 in conjunctival epithelial cells of diabetic patients and its significance. Methods:Diabetic patients were randomly selected from January 2016 to October in our hospital(diabetes group,124 cases)and healthy people(normal control group,98 cases),two groups Schirmer test(Schirmer I test),break-up time(Break up time,BUT),corneal fluorescent staining and impression cytology;using immunohistochemical staining the expression of IL-17 and Bcl-2 detection of conjunctival epithelial cells and conjunctival epithelial cells;apoptosis detection by flow cytometry.Results:1.Compared with the normal control group, diabetic group BUT<10s and Schirmer 's<10mm proportion was significantly increased, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01),corneal fluorescein staining was significantly stronger than the normal control group(P<0.01);2.Compared with the normal control group, diabetic group BUT,Schirmer 's was negatively related to the expression of apoptosis index and conjunctival epithelial cells and IL-17 and Bcl-2(R=-0.570,P<0.01,R=-0.559,P<0.01;R=-0.614,P<0.01,R=-0.651,P<0.01 FL),and the conjunctiva related expression was apoptosis index of skin cells and IL-17 and Bcl-2(R=0.825,P<0.01;R=0.798,P<0.01);3.Compared with the normal control group, the apoptosis index of conjunctival epithelial cells in diabetic group was positively correlated with the expression of IL-17 and Bcl-2(R=0.445,P<0.01,R=0.548,P<0.01);4.Compared with the normal control group, the staining degree of IL-17 and Bcl-2 in conjunctival epithelial cells of diabetic group was significantly higher than that in normal control group(P<0.01;P<0.01);5.Compared with the normal control group, the apoptosis index of conjunctival epithelial cells in the diabetic group was significantly higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion:1.The expression of IL-17 and Bcl-2 in conjunctival epithelial cells of diabetic patients is obviously increased, which can be used as one of the clinical indicators to judge ocular surface and tear film status.2.The up regulation of IL-17 and Bcl-2 expression is closely related to the onset of Xerophthalmia in diabetes mellitus.
