| Objectives:We detect the expression levels of IL-17 and IL-23 in peripheral blood of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma patients and to study the role of IL-17 and IL-23 in NHL.Methods:25 patients with B-cell NHL who achieved remission after 6 to 8 cycles of R-CHOP as a NHL group,20 age-and sex-matched healthy volunteers were recruited as a normal control group. Peripheral blood was collected in the both NHL group(the patients with NHL before therapy, the patients with NHL who achieved remission) and normal control group. We applied RT-PCR to detect the expression levels of IL-17 mRNA and IL-23mRNA in NHL patients and health volunteers. At the same time,we collected the clinical data of the patients with NHL. All test data was analyzed by the SPSS 17.0 statistical software. P<0.05 was statistically significant.Results:1. The expression level of IL-17mRNA in the patients with NHL before therapy and the patients with NHL who achieved remission was lower than that in the normal control group (P=0.000,P<0.05), (P=0.000,P<0.05).The expression level of IL-17mRNA in the patients with NHL who achieved remission was higher than that in the patients with NHL before therapy (P=0.001,P<0.05)2. The expression level of IL-23mRNA in the patients with NHL before therapy and the patients with NHL who achieved remission was lower than that in the normal control group (P=0.000,P<0.05), (P=0.000,P<0.05). The expression level of IL-23mRNA in the patients with NHL who achieved remission was higher than that in the patients with NHL before therapy (P=0.004,P<0.05)3. The expression level of IL-17mRNA and IL-23mRNA in the patients with NHL was positively correlated (r=0.431, P=0.002).4. The expression level of IL-17mRNA and IL-23mRNA in the patients with NHL showed little correlation with gender, age. Systemic symptoms, Ann Arbor phase number of extranodal involvement, LDHã€Î²2-MGã€ESR (P>0.05). The expression level of IL-17 mRNA and IL-23 mRNA in NHL patients with high IPI is lower than the patients with low IPI (P<0.05).Conclusions:IL-17 and IL-23 may be involved in the pathogenesis and development of NHL.They may be helpful to judge the severity of the disease, prognosis and efficacy. And they may influence each other in this process through synergistic effect. |
