Objective : To investigate relevant factors of prognosis which influence the patients with lymph node-negative rectal cancer. Methods: From July,2008 to July,2014,clinicopathological characteristics of 161 patients with node-negative rectal cancer who underwent R0 surgical resection in Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University were retrospectively analyzed. The survival rate was analyzed by Kaplan-Meier method. The clinical characteristics and pathologic features were compared with the aid of monofactorial and multifactorial Cox regression analyses. Results 1.The1-,3-,and 5-year overall survival rates for patients with node—negative rectal cancer was 88%,74%and55%respectively.2.With monofactorial analysis, preoperative CEA level(P<0.05),diameter of tumors(P=0.011),differentiation degree of tumor(P=0.001),and T staging(P=0.007)were found to be significant factors influencing the prognosis.Age and adjuvant chemotherapy were uncorrelated with prognosis.3.Multivariate analysis for these factors showed that preoperative CEA level(RR:4.208,95%CI:2.168-8.165,P<0.05),differentiation degree of tumor(RR:0.385,95%CI:0.200-0.744,P<0.05)and T staging(RR:4.896,95%CI:2.440-9.827,P<0.05)were independent prognostic survival factors.Conclusionspreoperative CEA level, differentiation degree of tumor and T staging were the factors which influence prognosis independently...
