Stigma Maydis is gramineae style and stigma of Zea Mays L.and it is a kind of traditional herbal medicine in China.Pharmaceutical characteristics of Stigma Maydis is sweet,light and smooth,and have effect on the liver,kidney,bladder.Through modern pharmacology study,researchers found that the mainly pharmacological effects include:diuresis and preventing kidney stone formation,falling blood sugar,antibacterial,antitumor,the immune system,oxidation resistance,the blood system and liver function.So far,experimental research of its falling blood sugar function has carried out more deeply,but the research of stigma of resisting kidney stones is limited to the study of its aqueous extract.In this paper,aiming at its resistance to kidney function research,comprehensive inspected different solvent extracts of the stigma of kidney stone formation,separated chemical extract which has more significant effect.The main research contents and research results are as follows:First of all,using the method of ethylene glycol-ammonium chloride successfully establish mice model of kidney stones.It determines that the stigma of 95%ethanol extract has a significant role in preventing kidney stone by investigating comprehensive test of results,such as the viscera coefficient,the degree of kidney stones and stone rate,the pathological changes of kidney,the content of SOD activity and MDA in serum and kidney,the content of creatinine,urea nitrogen,Ca2+ and Mg2+.Secondly,we studied the stigma of 80%ethanol extract and effective parts deeply.At the same time,we carried out the chemical composition of the system work of the ethyl acetate extract of them.10 compounds were isolated by silica gel column chromatography,ODS column chromatography and other separation methods and at the same time,determined the structure of the 4 compounds combined withIH-NMR,13C-NMR technology and the physical and chemical properties and references,which were compound 1(Luteolin-7-O-β-D-gIucopyranoside),compound 2(Luteolin),compound 3(Apigenin)and compound 4(Quercetin).Compound 1 was isolated for the first time from Stigma Maydis.The results of study on effect of renal calculus and chemical constituents of Stigma Maydis provided new experimental basises for related clinical application and the development of new preparations in the field of study and also have important significance.
