Expression And Clinical Significance Of ADAM6 In Esophageal Squamous Carcinoma

Objectives:To investigate the expression of ADAM6 protein by immunohistochemistry detection of EnVision staining method in esophageal squamous cancer,Then discusses the clinicopathological significance of ADAM6 protein in the carcinogenesis and progression of esophageal squamous cancer?Methods:To investigate the expression of ADAM6 protein in 113 cases of esophageal squamous cancer by immunohistochemistry stain,and to detect the correlation between ADAM6 expression and patie nt's age,gender,tumor size,pathologic stage,differentiation,infiltrat ion depth,lymph node metastasis,clinical stage and survival.Results:The expression of ADAM6 protein in esophageal cancer c ell cytoplasm,part of the expression in diffuse distribution,another p art of the expression in cells edge of the belt;In esophageal squam ous cell carcinomas of overall survival group is significantly higher than survival of death,especially in the highest of the ADAM6 pro tein expression(P<0.05),and the more ADAM6 expression increa sed,the more recurrence rate is significantly higher than did not rel apse group(P<0.05)?The patients who undergoing radiation thera py the ADAM6 protein expression rate was significantly rised than the without receiving radiation therapy(P<0.05).ADAM6 proteine xpression is unrelate with the patient's age,sex,tumor size,tumor di fferentiation,T stage,lymph node metastasis,distant metastasis,clini cal stage and chemotherapy related factors,such as no significant.ADAM6 positive group(weak,moderate,and the hightest positive)patients survival rate was significantly lower than the negative grou ps(P<0.01).Conclusion:Overexpression of ADAM6 is an early molecular event of esophageal squamous cancer?ADAM6 might be involved in the carcinogenesis and progression of esophageal squamous cancer?The expression of ADAM6 protein may be a reference index to judge t he development and seriousness of esophageal squamous cancer.
