The Level And The Clinical Significance Of Circulating Of Tumor Cells In Peripheral Blood Of Patients With Gastric Cancer

Objective:To investigate the relationship between the presence of circulating tumor cells(CTCs)and the clinicopathologic characteristics of primary tumor of gastric cancer patients.Methods:Selected randomly 41 gastric cancer patients without any surgical treatment as the experiment group,and 22 patients with benign gastric diseases as control group.Semples of median cubital vein blood(5ml)were enriched from the patients when limosis.Using cancer cell isolating technology,an immunomagnetic beads-based rare cell enrichment system using leukocyte depletion mechanism and fluorescence in situ hybridization,we detected the CTCs.Then we calculated the positive rates of CTCs and analyzed the relationship between the positive rate of CTCs and clinicopathologic characteristics of primary tumors.Results:The positive rate of CTCs in peripheral blood in the experiment group(63.4%,26/41)was significantly higher than that in control group(0%,0/22).The positive rate of CTCs in patients at primary clinicopathologic tumors stage T1,T2,T3,T4 was33.3%(1/3),60%(3/5),63.2%(12/19),71.4%(10/14),There was no significant difference in positive rate of CTCs between patients at different Primary tumor stages(P>0.05).The positive rate of CTCs in patients at TNM stage I,II,? and ? was 50%(4/8),69.2%(9/13),57.1%(8/14),83.3%(5/6),(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in positive rate of CTCs between patients at different TNM stages.The positive rates of CTCs in gastric cancer patients showed no significant difference among the different groups with regards to pathological stage of lymph,the distant metastasis of tumor,tumor size and the the degree of differentiation of the tumor.Conclusion:There is no significant relationship in gastric patients between the positive rate of CTCs and the clinicopathologic characteristics of primary tumor.The CTCs can be detected in the early stage of gastric tumor,so we conculate that micrometastases has heppened in the early stage of tumor.
