| Esophageal cancer,a kind of malignant tumor,range the ninth death rate in the world and forth in china.It is about 150000 patients die of this disease.The patients’ survival rate have not reach to 10% during first five years.The symptom of esophageal cancer can not be recognized easily in early phase could be the cause of its poor prognosis.It is in late stage include full wall of esophagus invaded,lymph node metastasis and further metastasis at the time of diagnosis.Thus,accurate staging is essential to guide patients what kind of treatment should be chose and help patient select better treatment than radical resection,especially for patients who have lymph node metastasis and further metastasis.Effect of treatment in esophageal cancer is poor and surgical resection is one of most effective treatments.Radiotherapy could be the main treatment patients with local advanced or other reasons can not tolerate surgery or chemotherapy.Precise radiation therapy has been used widely in clinic in recent years for its unique advantage of dosimetry.The era of personalized medicine has led to growing awareness of the biological behavior of tumor changes affect tumor development,long-term prognosis and response to treatment of patients.18F-FDG PET-CT is the most commonly used clinical molecular functional imaging technology,compared to the conventional imaging techniques,the appearing of PET-CT imaging of molecular functional imaging techniques improved the staging and treatment of patients with esophageal cancer,and guided the precise radiotherapy Radiation therapy walking in the forefront.Bio-guided precision radiotherapy for esophageal cancer in diagnosis,staging,tumor target volume delineation,optimization and prediction of prognosis of the treatment plan is superior to traditional anatomy based on precise radiotherapy.This article summarize the application of 18F-FDG PET-CT in esophageal precise radiotherapy. |
