Lepidium sativum L.as cruciferous annual herb,it is introduced form North Korea to Yanbian,originating in Iran.It can be seen in many countries.It is also happened in the Northeast of China,especially in Yanbian and it is a distinctive plant in Yanbian,young grass can be pickled vegetables,seeds also has anti-inflammatory,antipyretic,analgesic,lowering blood sugar,lowering blood pressure,lowering blood fat,treating a variety of gastrointestinal problems,fractures,asthma and diuretic,but few studies have been conducted on its chemical constituents and the reports on its seeds have received highly attention.Its unique scientific value deserves to be explored.The topic in our paper mainly focused on its chemical composition.In this experiment,the dry Lepidium sativum L.whole plant was extracted by MeOH three times,collecting extracted liquid and concentrated extract,and then the resulting extract was suspended in proper water and successively partitioned and extracted with petroleum ether,ethyl acetate and n-butanol,concentrating each layer ’s extract.The active sites of petroleum ether and ethyl acetate were separated by different chromatographic methods(such as Silica gel colum,RP-18,atc).Twenty-two compounds were isolated from L.sativum,four were from petroleum ether,and the others were from ethyl acetate.Their structures were elucidated by their physical and chemical properties,NMR techniques and With the standard controls.Only eleven were identified.Their structures were Sucrose(1),β-sitosterol(2),Benzoic acid(3),Methyl hexadecanoate and dimethyl phthalate(4)Butanedioic acid,(benzoyloxy)-,dimethyl ester(S)-(5),Diethyl phthalate(6),Protocatechuic acid(7),n-Butyl benzoate(8),Benzoic acid glucoside(9)Osthole(10)Daucosterol(11).In addition,in vitro experiments,RAW264.7and BV2 cells as models to evaluate the anti-inflammatory of the eight compounds.The compounds-treated team in 20μM 40μM、80μM concentration,and using Butein as standard controls.Using Griess reagent to measure the production of NO,Butanedioic acid,(benzoyloxy)-,dimethyl ester(S)-was found to have better effect,and its anti-inflammatory activity increase with the concentration increasing.Because the amount of its petroleum layer is large,adding to thischaracteristics,GC-MS was used to identify its volatile components.Thirty four compounds was identified,they are 1-propene,1-(1-methylethoxy)-,9-methyl-4-Octene,4-Decene,(Z)-,1H-Imidazole,4,5-dimethyl-,2-Furancarboxaldehyde,5-methyl-,Benzaldehyde,2,4-He ptadienal,3-Phenylpropionate,α-(hydroxyimino)-,1,4,8-Cycloundecatrien,2,6,6,9-tetra methyl-,Naphthalene,decahydro-4a-methyl-1-methylene-7-(1-methylethenyl)-,[4aR-(4a.alpha.,7.alpha.,8a.beta.)],Tricyclo[4.4.0.0(2,7)]dec-3-ene,1,3-dimethyl-8-(1-methyl ethyl),Tetradecanal,9,12,15-Octadecatrien-1-ol,(Z,Z,Z)-,9,12,15-Octadecatrienoicacid,ethyl ester,Hexadecanoic acid,methyl ester,1,2-Benzenedicarboxylic acid,butyl,2-(2-ethylhexyl)ester,Naphthalene,1,2,4a,5,6,8a-hexahydro-4,7-dimethyl-1-(1-methyl ethyl)-,1H-Benzocycloheptene,2,4a,5,6,7,8,9,9a-octahydro-3,5,5-trimethyl-9-methyle ne-,1-ethenyl-1-methyl-2,4-bis(1-methylethenyl)-,Bromoacetic acid,octyl ester,2-Pentadecanone,6,10,14-trimethyl-,5-Nonadecen-1-ol,2-Propylcyclohexanol,9,12,15-Octadecatrien-l-ol,(Z,Z,Z)-,Pentadecanoic acid,1,4-methyl-,methyl ester,Cyclohexanol,5-methyl-2-(1-methylethyl)-,9,12,15-Octadecatrienoic acid,ethyl ester,11,14-Octadecadienoic acid,methyl ester,11-Octadecenoic acid,methyl ester,Cyclohexane,Z-2-Octadecen-1-ol,1,2-Benzenedicarboxylic acid,ditridecyl ester,3-undecene,7-methyl-,(E)-,3-Hexanone,and so on.
