Objective To investigate the correlation of two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging technology with electrocardiography in evaluation of cardiac toxicity caused by anthracycline. Methods:To select 100 cases of female breast cancer patients pathologically diagnosed treated by FEC chemotherapy, they were divided into two groups according to electrocardiographic Examination results after chemotherapy:48 cases in group A(normal electrocardiogram)and 52 cases in group B(electrocardiographic abnormality).50 healthy people were as control. Before chemotherapy and at the end of 6-cycle of chemotherapy, electrocardiography conventional echocardiography and strain rate imaging were detected and obtained the Longitudinal peak strains(?)and early diastolic strain rate(SRe)of basal segment, middle segment and apex segment at left ventricular long axis. Results Before chemotherapy, there were no significant differences in STI parameters between three groups.at the end of 6-cycle of chemotherapy, the longitudinal peak strains and early diastolic strain rate of most segments in group A reduced, whereas the longitudinal peak strains and early diastolic strain rate of every segment in group B significantly reduced.Compared with group A,the longitudinal peak strains of anterior, posterior septum and left ventricular posterior wall of.patients in group B reduced. Conclusion Although electrocardiographyexamination is not a sensetive indicator for monitoring cardiac toxicity caused by Anthracycline.Abnormal electrocardiography has important tips significance for Heart function damage. If we can combine the two kinds of methods reasonably,we can discover the subclinical lesions of heart function early.
