Objective Through combined with the therapy of Acupoint Application and the Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation to treat hand dysfunction after stroke, and compared with the basic rehabilitation and transcutaneous accupoint electrical stimulation,to explore the effects of Acupoint Application and Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation treating in the hand dysfunction after stroke, providing an objective basis for clinical application. Methods There were 87 cases of stroke patients hand dysfunction that met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria which were randomly divided into basic rehabilitation group(referred to basis group)(29 cases)?transcutaneous accupoint electrical stimulation+basic rehabilitation group(referred to TAES group)(28 cases)?Acupoint Application+transcutaneous accupoint electrical stimulation+basic rehabilitation group(referred to integrated acupoint application group)(30 cases). The basic group using conventional rehabilitation,on the basis of the basic group, another two groups were added Acupoint Application with transcutaneous accupoint electrical stimulation and transcutaneous accupoint electrical stimulation,5 days a week for a total of 6 weeks of treatment.Three groups were assessed by Brunnstrom scores(upper limbs and hands)?Fugl-Meyer assessment(upper part)?Motor Status Scale(MSS)?modified Ashworth scale?Modified Barthel Index in pre-treatment and after 6 weeks of treat, and the assessment date were measured for analysis. Results Compared with before treatment, the Fugl-Meyer score(upper part)and MSS scores were significantly improved in three groups after treatment(p<0.01),and all the measures improved more in the group of TAES and integrated acupoint application group than the basis of group(p<0.05);Compared with before treatment, the Modified Barthel Index were significantly improved in three groups after treatment(p<0.01),there was no significant difference the three groups after treat(p>0.05);Compared with before treatment, the modified Ashworth scale was significantly decreased in the integrated acupoint application group(p<0.01),compared with the basis of group and the TAES group, the modified Ashworth scale was statistically significant in the integrated acupoint application group after treatment(p<0.05).Conclusion The hand dysfunction of stroke can improve in the three groups, and and the measures improved more in the group of TAES and integrated acupoint application group than the basis of group;the treatment can improve activities of daily living in the patients with hand dysfunction after stroke;the integrated acupoint application group can significantly improve stroke hang dysfunction, and can relieve their muscle tone.
