Clinical Study On Electroacupuncture Combined With Moxibustion Therapy Of Diabetes Mellitus Complicated With Herpes Zoster

Objective:The curative effects of the electroacupuncture combined with moxibustion therapy and conventional therapy of Western Medicine on diabetes mellitus complicated with herpes zoster were observed,compared,in order to explore a better therapeutic schedule for clinical treatment 0f diabetes mellitus complicated with herpes zoster.Method:Through clinical randomized controlled trials,60 patients that satisfied inclusion criteria of diabetes mellitus complicated with herpes zoster were divided into treatment group and control group according to random number table grouping method,each 30 cases.In addition to basic treatment of diabetes,the treatment group used the electroacupuncture combined with moxibustion therapy,while the control group utilized conventional treatment of western Medicine.Both of two groups were treated 10 days.Recorded the skin lesion,pain,the scores of comprehensive curative effect and the incidence of the PHN,the tolerability and compliance.Results:1.Baseline data: there were no significant differences between the two groups in the gender,age,course of disease,vital signs,site of onset,fasting blood glucose,VAS and the scores of comprehensive curative effect before treatment.The baseline data of the two groups was comparable.2.Skin lesion: in the blister-stop time,there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Compared with the control group,the treatment group could more quickly promote herpes zoster scab and scab off.3.Pain: the both internal group comparisons of the VAS before and after treatment,indicating that both groups of treatment options were effective(P< 0.05).In the VAS difference between groups before and after treatment,there were significant differences between the two groups(P< 0.05).Compared with the control group,the treatment group could more shortened the duration of pain.4.The comprehensive efficacy scores: the both internal group comparisons of the scores of comprehensive efficacy before and after treatment,indicating that both groups could reduce the comprehensive efficacy scores(P< 0.05).In the Scores of comprehensive efficacy difference between groups before and after treatment,there were significant differences between the two groups(P< 0.05).5.The incidence of the PHN,there was significant difference between the two groups(P< 0.05).6.Compared with the control group,the treatment group was better of comprehensive curative effect.The tolerability and compliance both were good between the two groups.Conclusion:1.For the treatment of diabetes mellitus complicated with herpes zoster,both the electroacupuncture combined with moxibustion therapy and conventional therapy of Western medicine can relieve neuropathic pain and reduce the comprehensive efficacy scores.2.For the treatment of diabetes mellitus complicated with herpes zoster,comparing with conventional therapy of Western medicine,the comprehensive curative effect of electroacupuncture combined with moxibustion therapy is better,especially in accelerate crusted scab and scab off,relive the pain,reduce the comprehensive efficacy scores,decrease the incidence of PHN side.Both of the two groups,the tolerability and compliance is good.
