Curative Effect Of Baby Massage In Preterm Infants With Feeding Intolerance

Objective:To observe the effect of baby massage in treating preterm infants with feeding intolerance.And to provide a safe,effective and practical therapy for treatment of feeding intolerance in preterm infants.Method:With randomized and controlled clinical research method,this clinical research incorporated 70 cases of preterm infants with feeding intolerance,which were from inpatient department of neonatal unit,Zigong Maternal and Child Care Service Centr.The subjects were divided into the treatment group and the control group randomly,35 cases for each group.Besides conventional treatment,the infants in the treatment group were treated with baby massage,according to the pathogenesis of Spleen deficiency.The control group was only treated with conventional treatment.The two groups were treated for 7 days as a course and had follow-up visi? after half a month,to observe and compare the clinical efficacy,the disappearing time of symptoms,increment of weight and amount of milk,time of regaining birth weight,time of reaching full enteral feeding.Result:Before treatment,infants of two groups were matched in sex,gestational age,birth weight,days of age,Apgar score at the fifth minute after birth,time of feeding milk for the first time and symptom score.These data were not significantly different(P>0.05),and were comparable.Afterr treatment:?Curative effect:At the end,in the treatment group,4 cases were cured(11.43%),16 cases were markedly effective(45.71%),11 cases were effective(31.43%),and 4 cases(11.43%)were ineffective,the total effective rate was 88.57%:In the control group,1 case was cured(2.86%),14 cases were markedly effective(40.00%),cases were effective(20.00%),13 cases(37.14%)were ineffective,the total effective rate was 62.86%;The short-term curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group,and difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The follow-up visit showd that the reoccurrence rate was zero.?Clinical observation indicators:The increment of weight and amount of milk were higher than those of control group.The disappearing time of vomiting,gastric retention and abdominal distension,time of regaining birth weight and reaching full enteral feeding in treartment group were shorter than those of control group.Differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The short-term curative effect of baby massage combined with conventional?reatment in preterm infants with feeding intolerance is distinct and stable.2.The improvement of major clinical symptoms in preterm infants with feeding intolerance,which were treated with baby massage combined with conventional treatment,is better than pure conventional treatment.Baby,which were treated with baby massage combined with conventional treatment,can regain birth weight and reach full enteral feeding as soon as possible.3.Baby massage,which is easy and simple to handle,has no side effects and has good social benefit and economic benefit,is worth to be popularized,in order to improve the clinical curative effect of feeding intolerance in preterm infants.
