Objective: The purpose of this study was investigate the effect of Zoledronic acid(ZOL)on fracture healing,hip function recovery,postoperative bone mineral density(BMD),pain relief and complications in elderly patients with osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures,and evaluate its clinical efficacy,so as to provide clinical evidence for the postoperative treatment of osteoporotic hip fracture in elderly patients.Method: The subjects of this study with osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures were admitted to the Department of orthopedics of Sichuan Provincial Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine from December 2014 to March 2016.In accordance with the inclusion criteria,exclusion criteria and exclusion of patients lost after discharge,the trial eventually collected 59 patients who met the criteria.In accordance with the inclusion criteria,exclusion criteria,and patients who were discharged from hospital after discharge,59 patients were eligible for the trial.The experimental group(group A)contains 29 patients,the control group(group B)contains 30 patients.Two groups of patients were treated with proximal femoral nail anti rotation operation,all the patients were given Caltrate D600 treatment after surgery,and the experimental group was treated with intravenous injection of zoledronic acid(5mg).By collecting and comparing the clinical data and the return data of 2 groups,the clinical healing time,Harris score,VAS score,BMD value and the incidence of complications of the 2 groups were analyzed.Result:1.Two groups of patients in the basic information(gender,age,etc.)P > 0.05,the difference was not statistically significant.2.During the follow-up period,all fractures achieved clinical healing criteria,The average healing time of the experimental group was 13.1 weeks,While the control group was 14.8 weeks,the experimental group showed faster healing rate,P < 0.05,the difference was statistically significant.3.Hip function comparison,the Harris score of the experimental group was 80.91 in March,and that of the control group was 75.26,The differences were comparable(P < 0.05).1 year later,the Harris score of the experimental group was 87,while that of the control group was 84.16,the two groups were approximately the same,and the difference is not comparable(P > 0.05).4.Comparison of bone mineral density T value,before treatnent bone mineral density contrast of two groups,P > 0.05.The bone mineral density T value 1yeas after operation was-2.58 in the experimental group,and that in the control group was-2.67,The difference between the two groups was significant(P < 0.05).The bone mineral density of T in the experimental group was significantly higher than that before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).5.In terms of complications: In the control group,during the observation period,3 cases of re fracture,hip varus in 2 cases,failure of internal fixation in 1 cases.In the experimental group,only 1 cases of re-fracture and hip varus occurred.Two groups of data analysis(P >0.05),the difference was not statistically significant.6.The degree of pain relief was compared between the two groups after 3months and 1 year,the experimental group was significantly better than the control group.But in the experimental group,8 cases of fever,systemic pain and other adverse drug reactions occured.Conclusion: The experimental results show that Zoledronic acid can promote the healing of femoral intertrochanteric fracture after operation and early functional recovery of the hip joint,Relieve pain in patients,Improve hip BMD.In addition,Zoledronic acid is safe,easy to use,patients compliance is good,there is a certain clinical value.
