Objective:To Analysis the short-term efficacy and long-term recurrence rate o f drilling drainage combined with atorvastatin in the treatment of chroni c subdural hematoma Methods:This study analyzed 142 patients with CSDH from the Department of Neurosurgery,Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from J une 2015 to September 2017.In light of the different treatment approach es,we put the patients into two different groups.Among them, the con ventional treatment group was treated by drilling drainage. The atorvast atin group was treated with atorvastatin orally in addition to the conven tional surgical treatment of drilling drainage.Observing and comparing th e effects of postoperative hematoma removal, postoperative complication s,and long-term recurrence rate between the two groups of patients wit h different treatment methods and do the statistic analysis.Results:1.There was no significant staistical difference in the effect of recen t hematoma clearance, nerve function renewal, and complications between the two groups.2.After three months of follow-up,the recurrence rate of atorvastatin group was lower than conventional group.conclusion:1.The use of atorvastatin has no significant effect on the short-term effects of postoperative chronic subdural hematoma, such as the remova l of hematoma, neurological recovery status and complications.2.Atorvastatin combined with drilling drainage has a lower recurrenc e rate than traditional drilling drainage and deserving more survey and discuss.
