The Clinical Effect Of Wu Ling Capsule In The Treatment Of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus And Depression (Disharmony Between Heart And Kidney)

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of wu ling capsule in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and depression,two groups of patients were comprised in the control study.To analyze the changes of blood glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin,depression,quality of life and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome.Methods: Total 50 patients screened in the randomized and doubled blind,treatment group and placebo group,type 2 diabetes mellitus and depression.On the basic therapy for type 2 diabetes mellitus,treatment group 26 cases were taking wu ling capsule three grains,three-times a day after each meal,however,in the placebo group 24 cases taking placebo three grains,three-times a day after each meal.Observation on the treatment of 12 weeks,recorded and analyzed all indicators including the patients,basic information(sex,age,race,etc),and weight,body mass index,glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin,depression,quality of life and TCM syndrome.The outcome of the experiment provided statistical analysis and made research into its potential mechanism of the efficacy.Results:1.Treats after two groups Hamilton’s depression scale(HAMD)loss of 11.8scores and 4.8scroes,the difference between and in two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).2.Treats after two groups TCM syndrome loss of 8.1scores and 2.9scroes,the difference between and in two groups had statistics to learn meaning(P<0.05).3.Glucose and Hb A1 c were no significant between before and after treatment in both groups(P>0.05).4.There were no significant differences in quality of life before and after treatment.(P>0.05).Conclusions: In the randomized and doubled blind,wu ling capsule and placebo can effectively reduce HAMD and TCM syndrome scores,without clinical significance to glucose,Hb A1 c and quality of life.There was no side-effects during treatment.
