Study On The Contribution Of Xue Xue's Systematic Differentiation Of Damp-heat Disorders To Syndrome Differentiation And Treatment Of Convulsive And Syncope Damp-Heat Disorders

Purpose:Convulsive and syncope syndrome is one of the common clinical critical diseases,which is included in cold-induced diseases and miscellaneous diseases,and is particularly prevalent in warm pathogen diseases.Among the warm pathogen diseases experts,Xue Xue's elaboration system for convulsive and syncope syndrome is detailed and special.This article begins with the theoretical origin of "convulsion" and "syncope",is intended to sort out the relevant theories of past dynasties,and taking this as the basis,to systematically sort out and mine Xue Xue's multidimensional cognitions on convulsive and syncope syndrome such as the name,causes and pathogenesis for presenting its ideological connotation and characteristics for syndrome differentiation and treatment of convulsive and syncope syndrome.Methods:Firstly,this project systemically expatiates the definition,occurrence mechanism and classifications of "convulsion" " convulsion and syncope" in The Inner Classic,Treatise on Cold Damage and medical works of the later ages adopts literature review method;then,classifies the articles and notes about convulsive and syncope syndrome in Systematic Differentiation of Damp-Heat Disorders according to its origin,development,pathogenesis and different stages of disease development.And this article summarizes the different treatment methods for convulsive and syncope syndrome,mines Xue Xue's syndrome and treatment rules for convulsive and syncope syndrome,and presents his unique understanding and therapeutic features of convulsive and syncope syndrome.Results: Xue Xue believes that convulsive and syncope syndrome is the most common and important concomitant syndrome of damp-heat diseases,he makes a very detailed exposition for damp-heat convulsive and syncope syndrome from aspects such as pathogenesis,types of syndrome differentiation and differentiations among similar diseases,etc.,he presents the undiscovered by predecessors,whichbe summarized as follows.(1)He discusses the pathogenesis of convulsive and syncope syndrome by referring to the Fire theory in Jin and Yuan Dynasties,founds the theoretical precedent that external pathogens causing convulsive and syncope syndrome by disturbing ministerial fire.(2)He points out that the vigorous fire caused by hyperactivity of the ministerial fire,Yin deficiency of the liver and kidney,concomitant internal wind and fire pathogen are three essential conditions for the occurrence of damp-heat convulsive and syncope syndrome.(3)He especially values Yang-Ming,clearing stomach heat,dispersing the dry stool and generating stomach fluid in the treatment of damp-heat convulsive and syncope syndrome.(4)He firstly illustrates the internal pathogenesis differences between "convulsion" and "syncope",and proposes the pathogenesis theory that "Pathogenic factors affecting the meridians and collaterals will cause convulsion syndrome,while affecting Danzhong will cause syncope".(5)He explains the reason why cold-induced convulsion is not coincident with syncope,while damp-heat convulsion is coincident with syncope,he points out that it results from cold-induced convulsion is caused by external pathogenic factors and damp-heat convulsion is caused by endogenous fire and heat.(6)He identifies and compares the summer convulsive syndrome and cramp in choleraic turmoil syndrome from the aspects of causes of disease,pathogenesis,disease location,and disease progress,etc.Conclusion : Whether in causes and pathogenesis of disease aspect,or in syndromes names or treatment aspect,Xue's "convulsion and syncope" theory creatively develops ancient physicians' discussions on "convulsion" and "syncope",which is a great supplement for "convulsion" and "syncope" theory,and greatly enriched syndrome differentiation and treatment for critical symptoms of convulsion and syncope.
