[Objective]:to investigate the significance of bone metabolism indexes in predicting the risk of postmenopausal osteoporotic vertebral fracture.[Methods]:The clinical datas of 110 cases with postmenopausal osteoporotic were collectedinthe first affiliated hospital of chongqing medical university, including 51 cases with vertebral fractures in orthopedics department and 59 cases without vertebral fractures in endocrinology department. The lumbar BMD,hip BMD,PINP,BGP,BALP,?-CTX,25-(OH)VitD,PTH,serum Ca2+ and P were recorded.[Results]:There was no significant difference among age,weight,height,BMI,BMD,PTH,Ca2+,P(P>0.05).There was a significant difference among serum PINP,BGP,BALP,?-CTX,25-(OH)VitD(P<0.05).There was positive correlation between postmenopausal osteoporotic vertebral fracture with serum ?-CTX,BALP(P<0.05;B=3.952,B=0.482),had negative correlation with serum BGP(P<0.05,B=-0.233),but had no correlation with serumPINP,25-(OH)VitD(P>0.05).[Conclusions]:These bone metabolism(?-CTX,BALP,BGP)have a significant correlation with osteoportic fracture, and can be risk factors to predict fracture in postmenopausal osteoporosis,so that early intervention of postmenopausal patients with high fracture risk should be performed to reduce the occurrence of osteoporotic fractures.
