Objective: To investigate the influence on legs venous blood flow velocity by different ways of raising the legs after geriatric hip fracture,in order to provide evidence for prevention of venous congestion and legs deep venous thrombosis after hip fracture.Method: 28 cases of geriatric patients(> 65 years old)underwent hip fracture in the Department of Geriatric Orthopedics of the Trauma Emergency Center in the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University from March to June in 2017 were prospectively collected.All patients underwent preoperative and postoperative deep vein color Doppler ultrasound in both lower extremities to exclude DVT.Conventional prophylactic anticoagulant therapy was performed routinely before and after operation.First days after the operation,color Doppler ultrasound was used to detect the venous peak velocity of the common femoral vein in supine,slope,trapezoid and triangular position.The statistic results were compared to show the effects of the three leg raised styles on the common femoral venous flow velocity.Results: 15 degrees and 30 degrees are raised respectively at slope,trapezoid and triangle position.Both slope and trapezoid position at 15 degrees and 30 degrees angel can increase the peak velocity of the common femoral vein(P < 0.05),of which the peak velocity of the slope position at 30 degrees angle increases 49.64% to the resting position,as the most significant mode.As for triangle position,the peak velocity of the common femoral vein was not obviously increased compared to the resting position at the angle of 15 and 30 degrees(P > 0.05).Conclusions: Legs raised by the slope position and trapezoid position can increase the common femoral venous flow velocity of the lower extremities.The slope position at 30 degrees angel as the most ideal mode can be applied to prevent lower extremity DVT after geriatric hip fracture.The triangle position should be avoided to raise the affected limb as it can not increase the common femoral venous flow velocity.
