Objective: To analyze the clinical characteristics, risk factors and poor prognosis of ischemic stroke patients with multiple severe posterior circulation stenosis, and to provide more targeted clinical data for the treatment and prevention of them. Methods: We collected the clinical data of patients diagnosed with the ischemic brain stroke with multiple severe posterior circulation stenosis(the posterior circulation vascular stenosis?70% or occlusion, and the number of narrow vascular?2).We analyzed retrospectively the clinical data, and assessed the association between these general data and prognosis of cerebrovascular.Results:1.Demographic characteristics: In this study, male patients were more common, and accounting for more than half of the elderly;hypertension is the most common risk factors.2.Clinical symptoms and signs: the most common symptom/sign is paralysis.3.Imaging features: The most common part of the posterior circulation infarction was the mixed group, especially in the pons most frequently.4.Clinical outcomes: Most patients have a good prognosis(59.5%).5.Comparison of factors affecting the degree of vascular stenosis:Univariate analyses showed that the previous history of stroke in the three groups was statistically significant.Multivariate analyses showed that these independent variables had no correlation with the degree of vascular stenosis.6.Comparison of factors influencing patients' prognosis: Hyperhomocysteinemia, limb paralysis, and complications are independent predictors for poor prognosis.Conclusions:1.The most common risk factor of ischemic brain stroke patients with multiple severe posterior circulation stenosis is hypertension, the most common damaged part is the mixed group, especially in the pons most frequently;and the most common clinical manifestation is paralysis.2.Hyperhomocysteinemia,paralysis,and complications are independent predictors for poor prognosis.
