Objective: To detect the different levels of serum IL-17 and FeNO in asthmatic patients and to explore the correlation between these two kinds of airway inflammation markers and lung function injury and obesity, and to evaluate the role of IL-17 and FeNO in the phenotype classification of bronchial asthma.Methods:Sixty-six cases of preliminary diagnosed asthma in the second hospital of Hebei province in March 2016 to May 2017,were randomly divided into three groups according to FeNO level, that is:low, middle and high FeNO group. The serum concentration of IL-17,lung function and body mass index(BMI)were recorded in addition to the FeNO level. At the same time, twelve cases were selected as the healthy control group.Results:1.The concentration of serum IL-17 in the asthmatic group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05),and the concentration of serum IL-17 in the high group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).2.Compared between three groups of asthma, the concentration of serum IL-17 in the media group was higher than that of the high group(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference between the remaining groups(P>0.05).3.FEV1/pred in the high group of asthma was significantly larger than that in the median group(P<0.05),there was no significant difference between the other groups(P>0.05),there was no significant difference in MEF50/pred between the three groups(P>0.05).4.There was a positive correlation between the level of FeNO in three groups of asthma and serum IL-17(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant. There was no correlation between two indexes in eachgroup(P>0.05).5.There was no correlation between serum IL-17 concentration and FEV1/pred and MEF50/pred in three groups of asthma, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05),but IL-17 in the median group was positively correlated with FEV1/pred(P<0.05).6.There was a positive correlation between FeNO level and MEF50/pred(P<0.05)in three groups of asthma(P<0.05),and no correlation with FEV1/pred(P>0.05).7.There was no correlation between FeNO level, serum IL-17 concentration and body mass index in three groups of asthma(P>0.05).Conclusion:The serum levels of IL-17 and FeNO in the patients with asthma were increased, and the IL-17 in the high group was not significantly elevated. There is no significant correlation between FeNO and IL-17.It is suggested that Fe NO and IL-7 represent different inflammatory processes, and our results are helpful in further phenotype research of asthma. |
