Objective: This text investigates the expression of TRAF5 in cervical cancer and ana lyze its clinical significance. Methods: The expression of TRAF5 protein is tested by SP immunohistochemical method in 56 cases of Cervical squamous cell carcinoma,35 cases of CINII,32 cases of CINIII and 31 cases of normal cervical tissues. Then we analyze the relationship be-tw een the expression of cervical cancer and clinicopathological features, such as clini-c al stage, the metastasis of lymph node.Result: The result of immunohistochemical test showed that TRAF5 protein express ed in all of cervical squamous cell carcinoma,CINIII CINII and normal cervical tissu es,the positive expression were respectively62.50%,53.13%,42.58% and 32.35%.The positive expression rate of TRAF5 protein in cervical cancer was higher than that in CIN and normal cervical tissues(P<0.05),which suggests that overexpression of T RAF5 may be related to the occurrence of cervical cancer. The positive expression rat es of TRAF5 in stage I and stage II were respectively 52.50% and 87.50%(p <0.05)a nd in the group of lymph node metastasis and non-lymph node metastasis The positiv e expression rates were 81.00% and 50.00%.Our Immunohistochemical experimenta l results showed that TRAF5 expression and cervical squamous cell carcinoma invasi on and lymph node metastasis may be related.
