Design Of Comfort Moxibustion And Applicate In The Study Of KOA

Objective:This study in order to design the comfort moxibustion device is suitable for clinical trials for the purpose.The clinical trial was carried out by using a randomized controlled method to study the common diseases and the osteoarthritis of the knee osteoarthritis(KOA).To provide a scientific and effective basis for the clinical study of the therapeutic effect of moxibustion therapy,and to clarify the curative effect of moxibustion on knee osteoarthritis.Methods:There are two sections,the first part of the study is the design of the moxiing device,and the second part is the clinical trial period.In this clinical trial,"multi-center" and randomized controlled studying were used.Subjects were in Chengdu,Chongqing,Nanjing,Shaanxi,Shandong,and other clinical centers.Will conform to the standard of 144 cases of KOA patients randomly assigned to the control group(western medicine group)and treatment group(moxibustion group).Both of the subjects were able to use at 3 acupoints(ST35,ST36,EX-LE4)and the treatment of the drug or the moxion.They needed to be treated with a drug(control)or a placebo(treatment group)4g,a 30 min,three times a week,for 4 weeks.The entire trial cycle lasted 13 weeks,and the baseline was 1 week,4 weeks of treatment,and 8 weeks of follow-up.And Mc Master university in Ontario west of Osteoarthritis Index score(WOMAC),Visual analogue scale(VAS)and Patient Global Assessment(PGA)as a curative effect evaluation Index.Results:1.Consistent baseline period: The clinical data of two groups at baseline,WOMAC related scale and VAS scale score,etc.through the comparison between the two groups,there were no statistical differences(P>0.05).The results showed that the baseline period of the two groups was consistent and comparable.2.WOMAC scale evaluation: In 2 weeks,4 weeks into the treatment group and second time follow-up,no statistical difference between groups(P>0.05),but in the follow-up for the first time,the comparison between groups was statistically difference(P<0.05),the control group is better than that of the treatment group.WOMAC pain and dysfunction score: There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups of WOMAC pain and dysfunction score(P>0.05)during the two weeks,4weeks and the second follow-up of the treatment group.However,during the first follow-up,there was a statistical difference between the groups(P<0.05),and the control group was better than moxibustion group.WOMAC rigidity score: There was no statistically significant difference between the time of the treatment and the follow-up period(P>0.05).Comparison: Two groups of subjects in 2 weeks,4 weeks into the treatment group,the first and second time follow-up these four curative effect evaluation time point of WOMAC scale total score and other relevant score were compared with 0 weeks into the group,statistically significant differences(P<0.05).3.VAS scale evaluation: Between the two groups in 2 weeks,4 weeks into the treatment group,the first and second time follow-up,the four curative effect evaluation time point VAS scale score loss no statistical difference(P>0.05);However,two groups of subjects were in group for two weeks,four weeks,the first follow-up,and the second follow-up,and the four curative effects were significantly different from the zero in the group,and the statistics were statistically significant(P<0.05).4.The PGA evaluation result: Using two independent samples Wilcoxon rank and inspection,2 weeks,4 weeks into the treatment group,the first and second time follow-up after overall curative effect of two groups had no statistical difference(P>0.05).Description of two methods of intervention in the treatment of KOA patients have effect.Conclusion1.This study has realized the design of the comfort moxibustion device.2.Treatment period: moxibustion and diclofenac sodium gel have therapeutic effect on KOA,which can effectively alleviate the pain of patients and improve the rigidity and functional activity of the knee joint.3.Follow-up period: during the first follow-up,diclofenac sodium gel was better than moxibustion therapy group in improving KOA pain and dysfunction;However during the second follow-up,moxibustion had a lasting effect on improving KOA pain,rigidity and dysfunction.
