Clinical Research On The Treatment Of Children With Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD) From The "Heart-Qi Being Liable To Hyperactivity"

Objective:Based on the basic theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine,,combined with Qian Yi's point of view on "Xiao Er Yaozheng Zhi Jue",sumed "San You Yu" by Wan Quan(abbreviated form of "San Chang You Yu")on children with ADHD,to research the clinical efficacy and safety of mentor Professor Chang Ke's treatment on children with ADHD caused by superabundance of heart-fire(adopting Yu Nv Xin Jing Tang),thus further to provide new ideas and new methods for clinical treatment.Methods:Adopting a case control study,70 cases of children with ADHD were divided into treatment group and control group,with 35 cases in each group.The treatment group was given Yu Nv Xin Jing Tang(the mentor's self-proposed prescription)and the control group was given OROS-MPH for 12 weeks.After the treatment,the clinical efficacy on the two groups of children was compared,and SPSS 11.5 software was used for data statistics and analyzing results.Results: 1.A total of 70 patients were enrolled in this study and had been shed in 5 cases(failed in 2 cases in the treatment group and 3 in the control group)because of follow-up failures.The actual total number of observations was 65(33 cases in the treatment group,32 cases in control group).The results of comparing the two groups in baseline data such as sex and age do not have statistical significance(P>0.05)and are comparable.2.Efficacy evaluation of major symptoms:The major symptoms of inattention and restlessness,after the rank sum test,have statistical significance(P<0.05).3.Efficacy evaluation of minor symptoms: The P values of minor disorders were all less than 0.05,suggested that the two groups on minor symptoms have statistical significance.4.Evaluation of hyperkinetic index: After treatment,the hyperactivity index was improved in both groups,two groups have statistical significance(P<0.05).5.Safety evaluation: There are no adverse reactions found in 65 cases of the two groups during the course of treatment,and the safety evaluation is grade 1.6.Comparison of curative effect evaluation: The total curative effect of the disease: In the treatment group was 87.88%,and in the control group was 90.63%.The statistical results by chi-square test showed: P=0.041,(P<0.05).It is suggested that two groups have statistical significance.Efficacy evaluation of TCM syndromes: In the treatment group,the effective rate is 96.97%;in the control group,the effective rate is 90.63%;The statistical results by chi-square test showed: P=0.227(P>0.05).It is suggested that two groups do not have statistical significance.And this proved that Yu Nv Xin Jing Tang has definite therapeutic effect on cured ADHD in children,and significantly better than control group in improvement of minor symptoms.Conclusion:From the research on the treatment of children with ADHD caused by superabundance of heart-fire,using the Yu Nv Xin Jing Tang which was self-proposed by my mentor,we can thus conclude that my mentor's frequently-used Yunvxinjing Tang has high feasibility,effectiveness,high security,and clinical value,and can provide new ideas and new methods for the clinical treatment of the disease.
