Objective:To evaluate the applicability of the Chinese version of the Spiritual Needs Questionnaire with 27 items(SpNQ-Ch-27)in tumor patients.Analyzing the current status and influential factors of spiritual needs of tumor patients,it will provide evidence for future tumor patients'spiritual care.Methods:1.Test of reliability and validity of questionnaire:Using the convenience sampling method, according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,473 cases of tumor patients hospitalized in three grade three grade A hospitals in Xinjiang from March to July 2017 were selected as research objects, according to the questionnaire number of odd and even numbers grouping and named as exploratory factor analysis(EFA)group and confirmatory factor analysis(CFA)group, for the reliability and validity of the test questionnaire.2.Cross-sectional survey:In accordance with the inclusion exclusion criteria, the use of convenient sampling methods, based on the original survey sample size of 473 cases,we continued to investigate 512cases.512 cases of tumor patients as the study object, analyze the factors affecting the spiritual needs of patients with tumor.3.Statistical method:The data were analyzed by using IBM SPSS 19.0 and IBM AMOS 21.0.The general data of the survey subjects were analyzed descriptively by the indexes such as percentage, mean and standard deviation. The Cronbach's?coefficient was used to assess the internal consistency reliability of the questionnaire, and the half-reliability was evaluated using the Guttman's Split-Half coefficient.Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were used to evaluate the construct validity of the questionnaire.t-test,ANOVA,Pearson correlation and linear regression were used to analyze the influential factors. The test level is?=0.05.Results:1.Reliability and validity of the questionnaire:Sixteen common factors were extracted from SpNQ-Ch-27,and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 65.858%.All the dimensions were highly correlated with the Chinese SpNQ total score, and the correlation coefficients were 0.618-0.831.[?~2/df=2.024,RMSEA=0.066,IFI=0.925,NFI=0.862,CFI=0.924,TLI=0.905].The Cronbach's?coefficient of the SpNQ-Ch-27 was 0.910,the dimension Cronbach's?coefficient is 0.661~0.965;the semi-reliability is 0.754,and each dimension is 0.704~0.963.2.Current status of spiritual needs of patients with tumor:total score of spiritual needs of patients with tumor:1.57±0.54;score of 6 domains respectively from high to low as Actively Giving Needs(AG),Existential Needs–Release(EN-Release),Inner Peace Needs(IP),Religious Needs–Praying(RN-Praying),Existential Needs–Reflection(EN-Reflection),and Religious Needs–Sources(RN-Sources).3.Single factor and correlation analysis:the difference of spiritual needs of tumor patients with different nationalities, religious beliefs, educational level,on-the-job situation, course of disease, other chronic diseases and main personality traits was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was a positive ratio between the spiritual needs of tumor patients and the self-care ability, the overall level of Functional Assessment of Tumor Therapy(FACT-G),Social/Family Well-Being(SWB),Emotional Well-Being(EWB),and Functional Well-Being(FWB),and was inversely proportional to the degree of anxiety and depression(P<0.05),and there was no correlation between the spiritual demand and the Physical Well-Being(PWB)of the patients with swelling(P>0.05).4.Multi-factor analysis of the spiritual needs of tumor patients::religious belief,on-the-job situation,self-care ability, anxiety, depression and Social/Family Well-Being(SWB)are the factors affecting the spiritual needs of the tumor patients, which can explain 23.7%of the total variation.Conclusion:1.The SpNQ-Ch-27 forms 6 dimensions:AG,EN-Release,IP,RN-Praying,EN-Reflection,and RN-Sources,which is suitable for tumor patients. It has good reliability and validity. It can be used as a tool for evaluating the spiritual needs of tumor patients.2.There was a high level of spiritual demand for tumor patients investigated.Doctors and nurses can pay attention to the spiritual needs of tumor patients, especially the need for Actively Giving Needs(AG).3.Religious beliefs,on-the-job situations,self-care ability, anxiety, depression, and SWB are the factors that affect tumor patients.Medical staff can provide targeted spiritual care for tumor patients based on the above factors.Under conditions permitting, further attention was paid to the correlation and differences between the different dimensions of spiritual needs of tumor patients and anxiety,depression,self-care ability, and quality of life.
