Objective :To compare the postoperative complications of patients with rectal cancer after neoadjuvant surgery and conventional surgery of rectal cancer and to explore the effect of neoadjuvant therapy on the postoperative complications of rectal cancer patients.Further study on the value of neoadjuvant therapy in the treatment of anal sphincter preservationMethods :According to the exclusion and inclusion criteria, the cases of rectal cancer confirmed by pathology from January 2013 to November 2017 at the First Affiliated Hospital of Shihezi University medical college were divided into new adjuvant therapy + conventional laparotomy group(new auxiliary group)and conventional laparotomy group(general operation group).Through statistical analysis, the two were compared. The differences in the incidence of complications between the two groups were compared, and the differences between the two functions in sphincter preservation were compared.SPSS19.0 statistics software is used for data processing. The comparison of measurement data was done by group t test and variance analysis. The data were compared by chi square test, and P<0.05 thought the difference was statistically significant. Results :A total of 103 patients were included in this study, including 31 cases in the new adjuvant treatment group and 72 cases in the routine operation group. The two groups had no differences between the groups in gender composition, age composition, tumor size, and the distance between the lower edge of the tumor and the distance from the anal entrance to the lower margin of the tumor.According to statistical analysis, there was no significant difference in the incidence of incision infection, anastomotic fistula, anastomotic bleeding, pulmonary infection and intestinal obstruction after operation(P>0.05)in the new adjuvant treatment group and the routine operation group, and the rate of anus preserving in the new adjuvant treatment group was significantly higher than that in the conventional operation group, and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.03<0.05)..Conclusions: It showed that the preoperative neoadjuvant therapy did not increase or reduce the postoperative complications of rectal cancer patients. However, the effect of neoadjuvant therapy on anal sphincter is significant, and it is still worthy of clinical application and promotion.
