| Purpose: The aim is to study the correlation between serum uric acid level and the stenosisseverity of coronary artery disease.Grouping were according to the SYNTAX score. Methods: The 400 cases coronary angiography patients(male: 250,female: 150)diagnosed to the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University during January 2017 to June 2017 were andomly selected into this study. The patients with severity of coronary stenosis lesions less than 50% or coronary artery disease were classified as a control group(n=79),coronary angiography demonstrated the extent of at least 1 coronaryartery stenosis50%,patientsweredivided into CHD group(n=321).According to the SYNTAX score, the patients with coronary heart disease are divided into:(1)low risk group(score ≤22);(2)the middle risk group(22 < score <32);(3)high risk group(score≥32).The serum uric acid level and baseline data in coronary heart disease group and control group were analyzed,The correlation between serum uric acid and coronary artery disease risk factors were analyzed by spearman correlation analysis, and the correlation between serum uric acid level and coronary stenosis degree were analyzed by multiple logistic regression analysis. Results: The age,BMI,type 2 diabetes,AST and fasting blood glucose levels in patients with coronary heart disease were significantly higher than those in the control group(P< 0.05).The level of uric acid in coronary heart disease group was(319 + 90.8 μmol/L),compared with that of the control group(322.5 + 86 μmol/L),there was no significant difference(P>0.05).Uric acid had positive correlation with age、sex、hypertension,、BMI,、ALT、AST、TC、low density lipoprotein and creatinine.r values are 0.207、0.262、0.162、0.393、0.302、0.234、0.122、0.272、0.105 、 0.140 、 0.353.However,there was a negative trend with high density lipoprotein(HDL-C),and the r value was-0.178.After removing the control group,it was found that the age、smoking、heart rate、uric acid、AST、cholesterol、LDL-c、fasting blood glucose and Scr in the high risk group were significantly higher than those in the low risk group and the middle risk group(P< 0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that there was no significant correlation between serum uric acid level and coronary stenosis in low risk group, middle risk group and high risk group(P> 0.05).Subgroup analysis of male and female patients showed that there was no significant correlation between serum uri c acid level and the degree of coronary artery stenosis(P>0.05),while the serum uric acid level in female patients was significantly correlated with the degree of coronary stenosis(P=0.003,OR=0.186,95% CI [0.060~0.573]).Conclusion: There is a correlation between serum uric acid and age, weight, hypertension and hyperlipidemia in the risk factors of coronary heart disease. The level of serum uric acid in the high risk group of coronary artery stenosis was significantly higher than that in the middle and low group(P < 0.05).The serum uric acid level was significantly correlated with coronary stenosis in female patients, thus, serum uric acid level can be used as a biomarker to predict the severity of coronary artery stenosis in female coronary heart disease patients. |
