| Objective:Studies have shown that butterfly bath as a kind of underwater injection therapy can effectively improve the shoulder pain after stroke,and improve the patient’s upper limb movement function,but it can effectively alleviate the patient’s muscle tone,restrain the spasm is yet to be further validation.The purpose of this study is to observe the clinical effect of butterfly bath in the treatment of upper limb spasticity after hemiplegia after stroke by the Surface electromyography(s EMG),and further explore its mechanism of action in the treatment of hemiplegia upper limb spasm,so as to lay a theoretical foundation for clinical application.Method : Sixty patients with post-stroke hemiplegia were assigned to treatment group(n=30)with conventional rehabilitation and butterfly bath treatment,control group(n=30)just with conventional rehabilitation by random number table.Surface electromyography(IEMG)of the biceps and triceps muscle in two groups was assessed by sEMG when the elbow joint crooked into maximum isometric contraction,muscle tension by the modified Ashworth scale(MAS),and motor function score of upper limb(FMA-U)by the simple Fugl-Meyer at 4 weeks pre-and post-treatment respectively.Results:Before treatment,there was no significant difference in IEMG between the two groups of patients in terms of the maximum isometric contraction of elbow elbow flexion,and the difference between biceps and triceps brachii in group IEMG(P>0.05).After four weeks of treatment,two groups of biceps IEMG[in experimental group(53.57 + 9.82)μV?s and control group(57.56 + 9.87)μ V?s] group were lower than those before treatment,the triceps IEMG[experimental group(37.20 + 6.04)μV?s and control group(34.87 + 6.20)μ V?s] group were higher than that before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);Compared with the control group,the improvement of the biceps and triceps IEMG in the experimental group was more significant,with statistically significant difference between the groups(P <0.05).Before treatment,the difference between the two groups of the two groups was not statistically significant(P >0.05),indicating that the two groups could be compared.After 4 weeks of treatment,the elbow joint MAS score of experimental group [(1.10 + 0.56)and control group(1.60 + 0.66)%],the wrist joint MAS score of the experimental group [(1.05 + 0.58)and control group(1.50 + 0.54)%] group were decreased than that before treatment,there was statistical significance the difference(P <0.05);Compared with the control group,the improvement of MAS score was more significant in the experimental group compared with the control group,and the difference between groups was statistically significant(P <0.05).Before treatment,the difference between the two groups of the two groups was not statistically significant(P >0.05),indicating that the two groups could be compared.After 4 weeks of treatment,the FMA-U scores of the two groups of experimental group [(25.80 + 4.79)and control group(20.43 + 3.49)%] group were improved compared with before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05);Compared with the control group,the improvement of the FMA-U scores in the experimental group was more significant and the difference between groups was statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusion:Research results show that the two groups of upper limb spasm after cerebral apoplexy hemiplegia patients through the appropriate treatment for upper extremities spasm degree,muscle tension and movement function has a certain degree of improvement and improve,and through the comparison between groups,the experimental group is better than the control group.On the basis of conventional treatment,the butterfly bath can effectively alleviate cerebral apoplexy hemiplegia patients with upper limb spasm,reduce caused by spasm of upper limb movement function obstacle,high safety,good patient compliance,and highlights the comprehensive treatment of modern rehabilitation concept,is worth in clinical promotion and application. |
