| Objective:Through this study,we can realize the prevalence of sarcopenia of the elderly population in Chongqing' nursing home,and provide reliable basis for mulation the prevention strategy to rest on by analysing the risk factors.Methods: 4 nursing homes in Chongqing,a total of 225 elderly people(male 63,female 162)are included.Appendicular-skeletal muscle mass(ASMM)was measured by BIA,6-m usual gait speed and grip strength were measured,adopting the diagnostic criteria recommended by the Asian Working Group for Sarcopenia(AWGS).Basic information,exercise habits,eating habits and related medical history were collected by questionnaires.T-test was used for the comparison of the measurement data,and chi-square test for analysing the classification data,to carry out Logistic regression analysis of related risk factors.Results: The prevalence of sarcopenia was 41.3 % in men and 37.0% in women.Aging,lowing BMI,low protein,high body fat percentage,hypertension,diabetes,digestive system disease,osteoporosis,and reduced exercise time are closely associated with sarcopenia,while protein diet and literacy have no obvious correlation.Conclusion: The prevalence of sarcopenia in Chongqing's nursing home is high.Aging,decreased exercise time in middle age,hypertension,diabetes,malnutrition,high body fat percentage,osteoporosis,digestive system diseases are the risk factors.While aging,decreased exercise time in middle age,osteoporosis,high body fat percentage,and lowing BMI are the independent risk factors. |
