Objective: To investigate the clinical characteristics of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)patients complicated with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)and to analyze its risk factors. Methods: A total of 542 in-patients with T2 DM,who were treated in the department of endocrinology of China Medical University affliated first hospital from January 2016 to July 2016,were collected.According to the merger of NAFLD,it was divided into two groups, the combination of NAFLD group(NAFLD group)which has 297 cases and unincorporated NAFLD(N-NAFLD group)which has 245 cases.Clinical data included age, sex, duration of diabetes,BMI,medical history, and the prevalence of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, the diabetic microvascular lesion, peripheral neuropathy, and metabolic diseases(including hyperten-sion,obesity,osteoporosis,dyslipidemia,high blood uric acid).Meanwhile,OGTT,HBA1 C,blood lipid,UA,liver biochemical index and renal biochemical index were recorded, and HOMA-IR was calculated. The t-test,X2 test and rank sum test were used for statistical analyses.Univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the risk factors of T2 DM companied with NAFLD adjusted for age, sex. Results: Compared with the N-NAFLD group,NAFLD group has higer BMI and lower in age?duration of diabetes;higer in metabolic indexes(BMI?FPG?CP?FINS?2h-INS?2h-CP?HOMA-IR?UA?TG),liver biochemical index(ALB?ALT?AST?GGT),but lower in HDL-C,renal biochemical index(Cr?Urea?Cys-C);higher in the mobidity of metabolic disease(obesity, dyslipidemia, high blood uric acid)and lower in the prevalence of diabetic microvascular lesion and the peripheral neuropathy(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in gender,ALP,Hb A1 C,2h BG,TC,LDL-C and the incidence of hypertension and bone metabolism. After adjustment for age and gender, logistic regression analysis showed that ALT(OR: 1.027,95% CI: 1.004-1.050),BMI(OR: 1.211,95% CI: 1.125-1.304),FPG(OR: 1.122,95% CI: 1.544-1.254),FINS(OR:1.099,95% CI: 1.004-1.204)were the major independent risk factors of T2 DM with NAFLD.Conclusion:Compared with N-NAFLD group,NAFLD group has a serious disorder of glucose and lipid metabolism, obesity, uric acid metabolism, and abnormal liver function. And liver function injury is heavier, while the incidence of diabetic microvascular lesions and the peripheral neuropathy is lower, possibly due to the shorter duration of diabetes.
