Objectives To explore the effect of systematic intervention based on self efficacy theory on self-care behaviors and quality of life in patients with chronic heart failure,so as to provide the evidence for medical staff to carry out the effective intervention methods for patients with chronic heart failure. Methods 96 patients with chronic heart failure hospitalized in the Department of Cardiology in Caofeidian District Hospital of Tangshan,Hebei Province, were selected as the research subjects from October in 2016 to June in 2017.Random digital table was used to divide them into intervention group and control group,48 cases each. The control group was given the routine nursing and health education, and the intervention group was given the systematic intervention based on the self-efficacy theory. The self-efficacy,knowledge level,self-care behaviors, quality of life, rehospitalization and emergency visits of the two groups were evaluated before and after intervention for 3 months. Results 81 patients completed the data collection, including intervention group 40 cases and control group 41 cases. Before the intervention, the general situation of two groups were compared, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05),two groups were comparable. Two groups patients' self-efficacy comparison: after 3 months of intervention, the intervention group scores of self-efficacy were higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);two groups patients' knowledge level comparison: after 3 months of intervention, intervention group scores of knowledge level were higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);two groups patients' self-care comparison: 3 months after the intervention, the intervention group self care behavior scores and each dimension scores were higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);two groups patients' quality of life comparison: 3 months after the intervention, the intervention group patients quality of life scores and each dimension scores were lower than control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);two groups patients' rehospitalization emergency visit comparison: 3 months after the intervention, the intervention group rehospitalization rate compared with the control group, difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05),the rate of emergency visit in the intervention group was lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions Systematic intervention based on self efficacy theory can improve the selfefficacy level?knowledge level and self-care behaviors of patients with chronic heart failure;systematic intervention based on self efficacy theory can significantly improve the life quality of patients with chronic heart failure, reduce the rate of emergency department visits.
