| Objectives In recent years,the relationship between platelet function parameters and various diseases has attracted more and more attention.The mean platelet volume(MPV)as a new risk factor of many diseases has attracted more and more scholars' attention.Previous studies have shown that the changes in MPV level are closely related to a variety of diseases such as stroke,Alzheimer's disease,diabetes,coronary heart disease and so on,but There are few studies on the relationship between MPV and Leukoaraiosis(LA)and related cognitive dysfunction.This article will explore whether there is a correlation between the severity of MPV and the decline of LA and the decline of cognitive function.Methods A total of 350 patients were enrolled in this study.Among them,the head magnetic resonance imaging showed that leukoaraiosis(LA)was LA group,a total of 222 cases,and a healthy control group without leukoaraiosis was no LA group,a total of 128 cases.The Fazekas scores were graded according to the cranial magnetic resonance imaging data of each group.The higher the grade was,the higher the severity was,including 127 cases of grade 0,80 cases of grade 1,80 cases of grade 2,and 70 cases of class 3,and according to the age of the participants,they were divided into two age groups,which are less than or equal to 60 years old and over 60 years old.Collect demographic data and use the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale(Mo CA)and evaluate the cognitive function of the group,and according to the Mo CA score,LA group was divided into two groups: those with cognitive impairment less than 26,and those with cognitive function above or equal to 26.The blood analyzer was used to detect the MPV value of all the groups and the biochemical indexes and coagulation indexes of the related laboratory.The changes of MPV level between LA group and LA group were compared between LA group and control group and their age groups.The changes of MPV level between LA group and non LA group in LA group and non LA group were compared,and the correlation between MPV level and cognitive decline was analyzed.Results 1 There was no significant difference in MPV level between group LA and group no LA(P>0.05).2 When MPV was divided into high level and low level,the two groups were tested by chi square test.The results showed that there was no significant difference in the composition of high MPV in the LA group and no LA group(P>0.05).3 In group LA,there was no significant difference in the proportion of high MPV between cognitive decline and normal cognitive function(P>0.05).4 The analysis of MPV levels in group LA and non LA group in different age groups showed that there was significant difference in MPV value between no LA group and LA group in the age group of less than or equal to 60 years old,but there was no statistical significance in the difference of MPV level within the over 60 age group(P=0.001).5 The results of multiple factor Logistic regression analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between LA and MPV levels within the age of less than 60 years(P=0.007,OR=1.767).6.Two there was no statistical significance in the proportion of high MPV in cognitive impairment among LA group.Conclusions 1 The increase of MPV level in the age group of less than 60 years old can increase the risk of LA.2 There is no correlation between the level of MPV and the decline of cognitive function. |
