The Correlation Between Posterior Circulation Ischemia And Vertebral Artery Dominance

Objective:In clinical work,abnormal phenomenon of vertebral artery vessels was found in the middle of the population,asymmetry of bilateral internal diameter,namely the bilateral internal exists asymmetry phenomenon,when the difference to be markedly difference(bilateral vertebral artery diameter greater than or equal to 0.3 mm)is called the vertebral artery advantage phenomenon.This study will discuss whether the occurrence and development of postcirculatory ischemia are related to the abnormal phenomenon of vertebral artery,the advantage of vertebral artery.Methods:Randomly selected department of neurology in shaanxi province people's hospital on January 1,2018 to March 31,2018,during the age of 45 years old or more cases in hospital in 500 cases,remove does not conform to the standard set of cases,the remaining 325 cases.According to the result of diagnosis is divided into 73 cases of posterior circulation ischemia(PCI)and TIA(including posterior circulation infarction)and 252 cases of posterior circulation ischemia group,two groups have the neck vascular ultrasound examination results,and the statistics of two groups of age,sex,smoking,drinking,hyperlipidemia,hypertension,diabetes,high homocysteine levels,and vertebral artery advantage phenomenon of general information.Results:Through the single factor analysis between the two groups of general information,found that smoking,hyperlipidemia,hypertension,diabetes,high homocysteine levels,and vertebral artery advantage phenomenon distribution distribution between the two groups(P < 0.05),statistically significant;The distribution of age,sex and drinking between the case group and the control group distribution of age(P > 0.05),without statistical significance.The results of the single factor analysis statistically significant factors in multiariable Logistic regressionanalysis to establish the stability of the regression model,the analysis results show:smoking,high blood pressure,diabetes,hyperlipidemia,age,and the OR value of the vertebral artery advantage phenomenon(odds ratio)> 1,P < 0.05,all statistically significant,which indicates that these factors is positively correlation with posterior circulation ischemia,among them the OR value of the vertebral artery advantage phenomenon(odds ratio)= 2.304,indicating vertebral artery advantage phenomenon crowd incidence of posterior circulation ischemia is no vertebral artery advantage of2.304 times.Conclusion:There was a positive correlation between vertebral artery dominance and posterior circulation ischemia.
