Study On Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution Of Knee Osteoarthritis In Shijiazhuang Aera

Objectives To investigate the type of TCM constitution in Osteoarthritis of the knee(KOA)patients in Shijiazhuang area,analyse the correlativity between KOA patient’s constitution type and their general condition,season of onset,hyperlipidemia history,osteoarthritis score,bone mineral density and knee X-ray.Because you can adjust your constitution type,so adjust and optimize your constitution type,strengthen the human body’s resistance to disease,and in view of the theory of“Prevention treatment of disease”,including“prevention of disease”,“preventing measure taken before the occurrence of disease”and“preventing measure taken after the occurrence of disease” to improve the health quality of the residents.Methods According to the inclusion criteria,exclusion criteria and exclusion or shedding criteria,selecting 208 patients who were treated in the orthopaedic ward and outpatient clinics of Shijiazhuang City Hospital as the study subjects.Researchers instruct patients to fill out questionnaires and collect relevant clinical data of patients.Analyze the correlations between TCM constitution in Osteoarthritis of the knee(KOA)patients and sex,age,body mass index(BMI),course of disease,multiple season,hyperlipidemia history,osteoarthritis score,bone mineral density and knee X-ray by the SPSS 20.0 statistical software.Results 1 Many KOA patients manifested as single type of TCM constitution,accounting for 71.88%,mixed constitution accounting for 28.12%.1)In the gender distribution,the different types of TCM constitution in KOA patients have statistics signficance(P<0.05).The phlegm-dampness constitution is dominated by men,and blood stasis is dominated by women.2)In terms of age distribution,the different types of TCM constitution in KOA patients have statistics signficance(P<0.05).The patients aged 42~55 years were mainly patients with qi-stagnation constitution and phlegm-dampness constitution,The 56~69 years old KOA patients were mainly qi-deficiency and blood stasis,and the KOA patients aged 70~82 years were maily yang deficiency and yin deficiency.3)In the Body mass index(BMI)distribution,the different types of TCM constitution in KOA patients have statistics signficance(P<0.05).Among them,patients with qi deficiency and yin deficiency have lower BMI and lighter weight.Patients with phlegm and dampness have higher BMI and are more common in fat people.4)In the course of disease distribution,the different types of TCM constitution in KOA patients have statistics signficance(P<0.05).The longest course of KOA patients with blood stasis was(10.3±6.43)years.The course of KOA patients with qi deficiency and yang deficiency were followed by(9.14±8.67)years and(7.6±5.24)years.5)In the multiple season distribution,the different types of TCM constitution in KOA patients have statistics signficance(P<0.05).There were more KOA patients with blood stasis in winter.6)In the hyperlipidemia history distribution,the different types of TCM constitution in KOA patients have statistics signficance(P<0.05).Patients with phlegmdampness constitution are predisposed to history of hyperlipidemia.2 In the WOMAC scores distribution,the different types of TCM constitution in KOA patients have no statistics signficance(P=0.316~0.387).In range of motion,the scores of blood stasis and yang deficiency in KOA patients were higher(8.9±1.43,8.76±1.24);in articular pain,phlegm-dampness constitution in KOA patients score was higher(8.75±6.9);in joint swelling,the score of phlegm-dampness constitution in KOA patients was higher(7.41±6.24).3 In the bone mineral density distribution,the different types of TCM constitution in KOA patients have statistics signficance(P<0.05).Yin deficiency was the lowest,with a value of(-2.51±0.45)g/cm2;followed by blood stasis and qi deficiency,the values were(-2.247±1.4)g/cm2 and(-2.156±1.3)g/cm2,respectively.4 In the X-ray grade distribution,the different types of TCM constitution in KOA patients have statistics signficance(P<0.001).On the X-ray phase I and II are more common in yang deficiency and qi deficiency,and phase III and IV are more common in yin deficiency and blood stasis.Conclusions 1 The type of TCM constitution in KOA patients is deficiency constitution more than excess constitution.2 There were differences in the general conditions of different types of TCM constitution in KOA patients such as gender,age,course of disease,BMI,multiple season,hyperlipidemia history,and so on.3 The bone mineral density values of different types of TCM constitution in patients with KOA were different,Yin deficiency was the lowest,and the degree of osteoporosis was obvious.There is no significant difference in osteoarthritis scores for KOA with different types of TCM constitution,but joint performance is different for each type.KOA patients had differences in the X-rays of the knee joints.Patients with yin deficient and blood stasis had severe X-ray appearance of the knee joints compared with Yang deficiency and qi deficiency.
