The Improvement Of St Mary's Tracheotomy Care Bundle And Effectiveness Evaluation

Objective: Improving the St Mary's care bundle and evaluating it's clinical effectiveness.Methods:Under the guidance of the evidence-based nursing concept,the original plan content is updated,and the final optimized nursing plan is adopted by the expert meeting.According to the St Mary's care bundle,100 hospitalized tracheotomy patients from department of otolaryngology and head surgery and neurosurgery are divided into two groups at random using software,the patients in experimental group carry out care bundle and in the other group implement conventional care.Then observing the patients' clinical effect based on the main outcome measures including the average with tube time,average total cost of hospitalization,the complication rates and the compliance with tracheotomy care bundle.Results:1?After the literature review and expert meeting method,the optimized intensive care plan was determined,and detailed implementation rules were worked out on the basis of evidence.2 ? Statistical analysis after clinical practice,the compliance with tracheotomy of care bundle was 82%,the average time to decannulation was significantly reduced from 29 to 23 days,the average total cost of hospitalization reduced from 30216 to 19804 and the complication rates reduced from 26% to 6%.Conclusion:St Mary 's care bundle after optimization has good clinical effect,can shorten patients with tube time,reduce complications,reduce hospitalization costs,have important clinical application value.
