Objective:To examine the value of serum sST2 and galectin3 in guiding the diagnosis and treatment of chronic heart failure patients with reduced ejection fraction and examine the value of serum sST2 and galectin-3 for risk stratification in those patients.And asess the value of serum sST2 and galectin3 in guiding the prognosis of those patients.Methods:31 chronic heart failure patients with reduced ejection fraction admitted in the first affiliated hospital of Kunming Medical University from August 2017 to February 2018 were enrolled in this study.Collect clinical data,electrocardiogram,echocardiography,and so on.Serum sST2,galectin-3,BNP,Myocardial enzyme when admitted and discharged were detected.And they were divided into different subgroups and be statistical analysied.Results:l.In patients with different heart function classification,difference between.sST2 admission,sST2 discharge,galectin-3 admission,galectin-3 discharge were not statistically significant,P>0.05.However,with the increase of cardiac function classification,the concentration of sST2 admission tends to increase.2.The sST2 discharge of patients with grade IV heart function was significantly lower than that of sST2 admission,and the difference was statistically significant,P=0.0022,while galectin-3 discharge of patients with grade IV heart function was significantly higher than that of galectin-3 admission,and the difference was statistically significant,P=0.0026.3.In patients with different left ventricular ejection fraction,differences between sST2 admission,sST2 discharge,galectin-3 admission,galectin-3 discharge were not statistically significant,P>0.05.However,with the ejection fraction decreased,the concentration of galectin-3 admission tends to increase.4.In the LVEF 30-40%group,the sST2 discharge was significantly lower than that of admission,and the difference was statistically significant,P=0.01.5.There was no correlation between the indexes,BNP,LVEDD,LVEF,Tnl?MYO?CK-MB,sST2 or galectin-3,and all P>0.05.6.After the hospitalization,the concentration of serum of sST2 discharge were generally lower than that of sST2 admission,and corresponded with the BNP trend.Conclusions:1.sST2 and galectin-3 may be new biomarkers for the diagnosis of heart failure2.In patients with reduced ejection fraction,the serum sST2 level may be used to assess the severity of heart failure and prognosis.
