| BACKGROUNDWith the transformation of the global medical care model,the updating of international modern nursing personnel training objectives,and the increasing demand for nursing services in the society,the concept of technology supremacy does not meet the needs of the development of the times.Nurses are given more and more responsibilities and obligations.They should not only focus on clinical expertise,but also need to show their humanistic practice ability,to provide humanized care for patients and improve service quality.However,how to measure and evaluate the ability of humanistic practice of nursing staff is worth tinking deeply.Yan Haiping and her peers in China have constructed the evaluation scale of nurses' humanistic practice ability based on the wotson humanistic care theory,However,the scale lacks a wider area of investigation and verification,and the norm has not been established yet,so it needs to be further discussed and study.OBJECTIVES AND SIGNIFICANCES1.To expand the scope of the investigation,to further examine the applicability of nurses' humanistic practice ability evaluation scale,so that facilitate and popularize in the future.2.Formulating the indicators' weight,verifing the reliability and validity of the scale,so that improve the development of the scale and provide a quantitative and scientific basis for the objective evaluation of the scale.3.Constituting the relevant norms of the scale,and to provide the latest standards for comparison for future research.4.To investigate the status of the nurses' humanistic practice ability in Guangdong Province,and to provide reference for follow-up related research.CONTENTS AND METHODS1.Scientific evaluation of the nurses' humanistic practice ability scale.(1)Constitutiing the weights of the scale.Using the Yan Huaping's second-round expert's original assignment data to calculate the weight of the indexes at all levels with excel 2013 by Analytic Hierarchy Process.(2)The preliminary examination of the reliability and validity for the scale.With the convenient sampling method,respectively using the "caring behavior scale" and"nurse humanistic practice evaluation scale" to investigate 160 patients and 160 nurses in the same three-A grade hospital,so that developing the convergent validity of nurses' humanistic evaluation scale by the correlation of the two scale.A total of 314 nurses from the two top three general hospitals were surveyed to analyze the correlations between the various factors of the scale,so that testing its construct validity.30 nurses were selected randomly and retested 10 days after the completion of the baseline survey.Using intraclass correlation coefficients to analyze the scores of the two measurements,which were the test-retest reliability of the total scale and each dimension.2.The s'econd part is the norms of the scale,meanwhile analysing the current situation of humanistic practice ability of nurses in Guangdong.A multistage stratified random sampling method was used to investigate 2226 nurses from 7 different departments of 11 third class hospitals in the Pearl River Delta,western Guangdong,eastern Guangdong,and northern Guangdong.To verify the reliability and validity of the scale and the dimensions in the 2226 general samples again.Then based on the characteristics of the average scores,we used "Mean ± SD" to formulate the Mean norm,establish the percentile norm with 5%percentile intervals,and constructed the demarcation norm with the percentile method.Finally analyzed the current status of humanistic practice ability of overall and different groups of nurses in Guangdong Province.RESULTS1.The results of scientific evaluation of the nurses' humanistic practice ability scale.(1)The weights of the indicators for all levels of the scale.The weights of the 5 first level indicators from high to low in turn were humanistic care practice(0.512);interpersonal communication(0.175),ethical and legal practice(0.175),self management(0.080),psychological adjustment(0.058),and the consistences test of each matrix are good(CI or CR is less than 0.1),which means that the weights of indicators at all levels are in line with logic.(2)The results of preliminary examination of the reliability and validity for the scale.the convergent validity of the scale is 0.856,which is highly correlated with the Caring Behaviors Inventory(P<0.001).The Cronbach' s ? coefficient of each factor is bigger than the correlation coefficient between factors,so that the construction validity of the scale is good.The test-retest reliability of total scale and each dimension above were 0.775?0.870,which means that the scale has high stability over time.In general,the reliability and validity of the scale are good,and the development of the norm can be performed.2.Thenorms of the scale and the current situation of humanistic practice ability of nurses in GuangdongAccording to the scientific proportionate multi-stage stratified cluster sampling method,the sampling range and coverage is large,and the effective sample size is 2226 cases,which meets needs of the sample size of the norms,and the distribution of the data features and the sample size are representive.Secondly,detected by 2226 cases,the scale has a good reliability and validity.Based on the average scores of the whole scale and each dimension,we formulated the mean score norms,established the norms of percentile at 5%percentile intervals,and took P 10,P30,P70 and P90 as the boundary points to establish a demarcation norm,so that humanistic practice ability of nurses was divided into 5 levels:<66.56 for poor,66.56?76.95 for sub-standard,76.96?88.97 for general,88.98?96.68 for good and ? 96.69 forexcellent.And constructed 5 sets of average norm of different classification subgroups such as age,length of service,gender,status of only child,and regions.The total score of humanistic practicing ability of nurses in Guangdong province was(81.64±11.98)points,the transformation points of each dimension from high to low in turn were ethical and legal practice(81.022±17.36),humanistic care practice(77.40± 15.25),psychological adjustment(75.95±18.78),interpersonal communication(75.63± 16.43)and self management(68.36± 17.91).CONCLUSION1.Formulating the index weights,convergent validity?construct validity and test-retest reliability of the nurses' humanistic practice assessment scale,which increasing the scientificity of the scale and lay the foundation for the development of the norm;2.The norms of the scale are representative and can provide comparable standards for areas with similar levels of economic or medical care in Guangdong Province;3.The humanitic practice ability of nurses in Guangdong province is in the middle and upper level,each dimension ability is different,and the scores of nurses in different groups have their own characteristics,which provide reference for related research. |
